Are you excited about this game?

I have been looking forward to a good strategy game with this kind of fantasy medieval setting since Master of Magic. Although this promises to be quite a bit more by the looks of the features already present in the beta.

I am already enjoying the potential in the quest and research system, as well as the whole dynasty building aspect, and look forward to the retail release where I forsee a lot of nights with the "just one more turn" syndrome showing up. ;-)

Stardock seems to be quite good at polishing their products and supporting them for a long time, and if they do put out a 64-bit client...eeep, map size potential gallore!

I suppose you could say I'm a tad bit excited. :-p

I can't help but be excited about this game. I'm a big Stardock fan, and MoM is a game that STILL sucks me in for weeks at a time every time I install it. The modding aspect is just a hat trick.

Actually, what really draws me in is the extreme amount of customization, now that I think of it. It feels like a descendant from Master of Magic, but there's so many more options being put in that it's looking to be even more of a threat to my free time than MoM. I'm a super sucker for options, and I just have to explore them all and play with them. On top of the spell books and trees, you've got a much wider range of options for creating many aspects of your 'mage' and building/managing your cities -- even building your RACES. The level unit customization is faboo.

Yeah, so while I got sucked into it for its Master of Magicesque appeal, what's keeping me dragged in is the vast variety of what they're letting us do with the whole idea. And that's even without dipping into the modding tools...

Hm. I think I'll have to put some takeout places on speed-dial.
