Vandeach's Stats Thread - Dejan Petkovic - Taking Requests |
|
Rules:
1) I do have a wide variety of football knowledge, but don't suggest anything ridiculous like some unknown Rwandian teenager playing in the 3rd tier Angolan football. Well known leagues and nothing below the 3rd tier of English football and you should be fine. 2) I have the right to refuse any stat request without providing a reason. 3) Anyone who argues in my thread will be killed. No questions asked. 4) No more than 2 requests at a time, and oh yeah, no silly fonts please, just type like everyone else, because if I'm in a bad mood, I'm most likely just going to ignore you. 5) I wanted to make more rules, because 4 rules seem a bit rubbish, so yeah. You read the rules? Good, now I can introduce myself. Hello, my name is Shaun Dospel, but go by the username of Vandeach. Some of you may recognise me, that maybe partly because some of you just instantly recognise awesomeness when you see it, or, more likely, that I am the EPL moderator on PESD,a site dedicated to help make accurate stats, so I know what I'm doing. The reason I made this thread was due to the fact that I don't want you poor sods using the unbearably inaccurate FM conversions, which are quite frankly, about as much use as Elleanor Fritzl's sunglasses, also, Neo doesn't really have a proper stats maker around, I could go onto evo-web, but there are so many stats threads on there, I feel it would be more beneficial to come here. As well as stats discussion, discussion about football in general is also welcome in this thread, and before some neo-obssesed, pre-pubescent, acne ridden teenager says "But there's already a football forum blah blah blah", I don't care, so save your wining please. Err.. jeez, this is more complicated than I thought, I would say 2, obviously you can 'request' as many as you like, it's just a case of when they will be done, as after your two requests, the next persons would take priority.

Sorry dude but the PESD has some very absurd numbers, hahahaha. I take sometimes biased FM-researcher numbers over the generally agreed values from those youngsters who think too much of themselves over there. However, if you don't fall into that category then ... be quite welcome!
In the Brazilian league, Dejan Petkovic (midfielder) and Bruno (goalkeeper), both for Flamengo. Do notice that I didn't really break rule #3, but I won't argue that either! ------------------- ![]() C.R.Flamengo

Name: Michael Ballack
![]() Club: Chelsea Number: 13 Position: *CMF, AMF, DMF Nationality: German Age: 32 (SEP-29-1976) Foot: R Side: B Length: 189 Weight: 80 Attack: 79 Defence: 64 Balance: 87 Stamina: 90 Top Speed: 76 Acceleration: 75 Response: 82 Agility: 75 Dribble Accuracy: 84 Dribble Speed: 80 Short Pass Accuracy: 84 Short Pass Speed: 88 Long Pass Accuracy: 84 Long Pass Speed: 86 Shot Accuracy: 81 Shot Power: 92 Shot Technique: 80 Free Kick Accuracy: 82 Curling: 83 Header: 91 Jump: 82 Technique: 83 Aggression: 80 Mentality: 82 Keeper Skills: 50 Team Work: 86 Injury Tolerance: C Condition/Fitness: 6 Weak Foot Accuracy: 6 Weak Foot frequency: 6 Consistency: 6 SPECIAL ABILITIES *Tactical Dribble *Positioning *Middle Shooting *Penalties *Reaction Cards: P11 - Enforcer P10 – Box to Box P13 – Long Ranger P17 – Free Roaming S01 – Reaction S05 – 1-Touch Play Ballack has had to bide his time at Stamford Bridge, but he seems to finally have started to live up to his reputation. Upon his arrival on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2006, the German looked set to guide Chelsea to even more dominance to the Premier League and the holy grail, the Champions League. This was, after all, a player who had scored 44 goals in 107 appearances for Bayern Munich, while carrying a fairly average Germany team to a World Cup final in 2002 and then a semi-final in 2006. However niggling injuries, quarrels with team-mates and Chelsea’s vast amount of midfielders combined to make Ballack’s first season in England a struggle. The 2007/08 season started with more of the same, in fact it was only when he returned from surgery in the latter half of 2008 that Ballack finally started to find his feet, and Ballack finally began to look the player he is. Interesting Fact: Ballack, since 1998, he has finished as runner-up on no less than 12 occasions. Attack: Possibly a bit low for some people, but I believe this to be a fair value, he is a different Ballack to the one we saw at Bayern Munich, he plays a far deeper role and can act almost as a DMF at times. However, this value combined with *Positioning still makes him a very highly rated midfielder, and it puts him one above Scholes in this department, which seems about right. Stamina: As I mentioned before he has brilliant stamina, yes he doesn't always run for the full 90 minutes, but he is constantly moving and always looking for good positions, however, the previous value was incorrect, as he isn't quite as good as Jenas in this area. Speed: His speed stats have stayed the same but I have raised his DS, and this because, quite simply, he is fairly sluggish, but he doesn't lose that much speed on the ball, he can maintain a fairly decent amount of pace whilst dribbling, plus, it's not like 80 is an overly high number anyway. Passing: Probably the most noticeable change, his passing wast just too effective with the previous values, his short passing accuracy is on par with Gareth Barry and Ryan Giggs, with noticeably higher SPS than them too. I kept his LPA the same but raised his LPS, due to his fantastic range when passing the ball. Free Kick Accuracy: I still cannot fathom how he was given such a high value beforehand, and how no-one challenged it, his free-kicks really aren't that much better than Lampard's, and they only reason they go in or trouble the goalkeeper, is due to the fantastic power and curl he can produce, not placement. Mentality: A slight raise, mainly because of his fantastic impact for the German national team more than anything though, his work rate for Chelsea has been decent and nothing more, he can put a shift in, but they're are also times when he can have a very relaxed playing style, particularly when played in more attacking roles. Team Work: Really underrated before, this a real strength of Ballack's, he has a fantastic vision for a pass, furthermore, he is always looking for the ball, he will move left, right and centre to get the ball, his relationship with other players is also fantastic, the way he works with Lampard and Drogba is very good also, and, although partly down to their great understanding, Ballack certainly plays a big part too. Special Abilities: I have removed *Passing, as that isn't really his thing anymore, he isn't one to deliver killer balls in the final third, as that is more of Lampard's job. However I have added *Reaction, due to the slight drop in aggression and attack, he still makes those late runs. Cards: It might seem strange him having both the 'Classic No. 10' and the 'Anchor Man' but he seems to fit both rather well, when he plays as an AMF, although this is becoming he less frequent, he does "make use of deft touches and passes rather than pace or movement." and can certainly act as an anchor man. You may have noticed I have also given him 'Free Roaming' as Ballack often likes to go wandering, and can sometimes cause Chelsea to lose a bit of their shape.

![]() Club: Sheffield Wednesday Number: 2 Position: *SB Nationality: English _eng Age: 22 (30/09/1987) Foot: R Side: B Length: 185 Weight: 72 Attack: 69 Defence: 68 Balance: 79 Stamina: 87 Top Speed: 83 Acceleration: 84 Response: 80 Agility: 81 Dribble Accuracy: 81 Dribble Speed: 82 Short Pass Accuracy: 74 Short Pass Speed: 75 Long Pass Accuracy: 76 Long Pass Speed: 78 Shot Accuracy: 67 Shot Power: 80 Shot Technique: 68 Free Kick Accuracy: 66 Swerve: 75 Header: 79 Jump: 81 Technique: 77 Aggression: 82 Mentality: 83 Keeper Skill: 50 Team Work: 79 Injury Tolerance: B Condition/Fitness: 7 Weak Foot Accuracy: 4 Weak Foot Frequency: 4 Consistency: 7 SPECIAL ABILITIES: *Reaction Cards: P01 - Overlapping run Who would've known that an injury crisis at Wednesday when they where forced to play a young centre-back at left-back would turn out to be a revelation? At first he struggled, but because they persevered, they have turned him into probably Wednesday's best young player at this moment in time. Spurr has all the making's of a modern day full back, he loves to bomb forward at every opportunity but, unlike a lot of young full-backs, he has the energy to chase all the way back and win the ball back again. He's comfortable on the ball and his distribution is top notch, he isn't afraid to take a player on every now and again, although it's not an outstanding quality of his. He's very well rounded and is confident in attack and an assured defender. However, he's not without his weakness, he can lack a bit of strength at times and can get outmuscled by some of the bigger wingers in the Championship. Also, despite his height, he's not as aerially dominant as one may think, and that's probably a reason to why he'd never have made it as a centre-back. All in all though, he is a very well rounded youngster with a big future ahead of him. Watch this space.

Shouldn't Ballack have less dribbling accuracy but have that made up by having a good technique (which he already has)? Also, Injury Tolerance being B with a condition of 4-5 seems more reasonable.
You can't compare his stamina to Jenas, yes he covers quite a bit but he uses experience to move less. Jenas also sprints more = true higher stamina. I like some pointers you put there too for other stats, though I believe his mentality could be even brought down to 80 as he does lose his head, and since PES has limited attributes for us to change, we have to compromise it (playing fatigued and mentality should be separate). ------------------- ![]() C.R.Flamengo
