Ok so it's 1 v 1 with the goalkeeper and your centre back is tracking the striker then all of a sudden the goalkeeper comes off his line without you pressing triangle and the striker scores.

Why the hell does the keeper come out when you don't want him to?
Is this a bug or a 'new' addition to the game?

Well in real life at a certain distance from the goal the goalkeeper must rush off or take some steps forward in order to diminish the angle of the goal of the striker and give less scoring options. How is the play happening in your game, can you describe it properly?

Oh my god, i know how you feel, whenever i see a goalkeeper on this game, i cringe and cant bear to watch because 8/10 times he does something dodgy.

Well basically the strikers in behind my defence and he's near the D in the penalty box and the keeper rushes out without me pressing triangle, therefore almost all the time the striker ends up scoring.... I mean for goodness sake, Peter Cech making stupid mistakes? Or is it the gameplay. I don't see why they rush out. Sometimes he rushes out when 2 defenders are putting pressure on the striker. I don't want my keeper to run out without me pressing triangle, if triangle is used to bring the keeper out then he shouldn't come out without you pressing it, it's really annoying, especially on Master League cruicial goals being leeked because of this.

I sometimes can fix this buy pressing the pressure button (in my case Square), but only if the striker is already very close and there aren't enough defenders, otherwise the defenders will gang up on him and the keeper will come running anyway..but now and again I succeed in maintaining the keeper in his place

it's happened to me about 5 times too. it's usually wen the comp give a long through ball from their half and it's slowing up near the 18yard box, and the keeper over runs it n ends up looking like a dick in the middle of the field

perhaps you should press triangle so that he runs out fully. You never know, he might be able to reach the ball and clear it....
it happens to me this problem but I don't see it as a problem because in real life the goalkeepers will rush out to close the angle.. perhaps set a deeper back line.

oh he runs out fully. a full 5-10 yards outside the 18 yd box. i guess i dont see it as a problem as i always win in this game..i just guess it looks shit n something u cant control from time to time

I've seen all sorts of silly tricks from the GKs on PES10. This could be the worst year yet for GK idiocy. Maybe it's some sort of backroom joke amongst the Konami team?

TBH I actually never experienced something like this so far in PES2010. The GK comes of his line once in a while, but IMO he always does that at the right moment.

One thing though, in the last couple of matches I scored a couple of goals shooting the ball through the legs of the goaly, this shouldnt happen to often or else it'll be an easy way to score

For the jokes.

I find that alot of the time my goalkeeper is poorly positioned ie. He stands guarding his far post and leaves more of the near post open.and so when a striker takes a shot, my keeper dives but is too far away to save.

And he also parries the ball straight to the feet of the opposition striker(not all the time but c'mon, he could have easily caught the ball!)

Use manual keeper. It adds a whole new scope to the game and improves him ten fold
