Also, I want to bring something else forth. Since the search feature was brought in, in my opinion, it's left Thread Index's in forums like this one redundant.

Both good ideas, but I think that the Member's awards should be held a while after the H&H. I'm afraid we just don't have enough activity/regulars for it to work right now.

Of course, much like last year, it probably should be drawn out just a little to give new members time to get acquainted with the forum.

I'll be happy to organise them, but as for the running of the Member Hurt and Heal, I was thinking of asking someone else to do that. I suppose even if I did participate and run it, there wouldn't be many objections (if any at all), but in the name of fairness I'd rather someone else did it.

The H&H is currently being organized, we'll have the Writer's Competition right after that- I'm sure Ajax will agree that it's best to have one game thread at a time.

In regards to the Member Hurt and Heal, I just wanted to explain the details, which should clear up any questions that some members may have.


Firstly, the members invited are from various parts of Neoseeker, so most of the members participating might not actually know each other. The reason such a variety of forums was chosen, was to keep the contest as far away from being a popularity contest as possible. I'm sure most of the regulars, or once were regulars, would like to see a level of integrity and fairness maintained within the forum, therefore I wont be hosting this competition as I used to. Any foul play detected, will be at the discretion of the host to make a decision as to what measures will be taken.

To outline the rules of the competition; each member will begin with 20 points. A hurt subtracts 2 points, a heal adds 1. A hurt and heal can only be made once every hour. Each time a member reaches 0 points, they are eliminated from the competition. The last member left standing (so to speak) will be declared the winner, and will be contacted via PM, or approached in the thread itself (whichever the winner prefers), to discuss details.

The estimated time of the competition commencing, is within 48 hours of this post.


One last note I'd like to leave the participants with; this is the first of many name changes / account merges to be awarded, so it may just be worth sticking around the forum and getting to know everyone. You never know, the next member to receive a name change / account merge, may just be you.
