Purple Bell Problems?

I put down Harvest Moon (Animal Parade) for a little while and when I got back, I thought I would just pick up where I left off.

I went to go talk to the Goddess and she tells me 'Good job, yadda yadda yadda, you completed -insert name here-'s quest'. So all that's left is Edge's quest which I ask her about. She says to go get people's wishes or whatever so that's fine.

I went to go talk to Perry who just tells me that the church is open from -insert time here to insert time here- and doesn't mention the crying or anything BUT the room is already open, the purple bell is already in that room and the painting is already set up and ready to be given wishes to.

However, I have Chase at 8 hearts, Anissa at 6, Jin at 3, Luna at 4 and so on and so forth and NONE of them will tell me their wishes. =/ I went back to the painting, just in case they already told me but Finn says he has no wishes to give...

What's happening?


tl;dr version:

-Completed the other 4 bells
-Goddess says I need to gather wishes
-Purple Bell is already in the room and I've already talked to Edge several times
-I've gotten 4 - 6 villagers up to 3 hearts or above already and no one will tell me their wishes
-I go to the painting to talk to give wishes (in case I missed them) and it says it has no wishes to give

Anyone have any ideas?

you might have a serious problem there-___- you might have to restart all over again or restart you're wii.
