Disappearing children?

Perhaps you are talking about the Lost Child family events? I have not yet heard of a disappearing child sort of glitch ...
Then again, I haven't even gone that far into the game yet.

If it is somehow the Lost Child family events, here is some info on them:

Lost Child

When your first child has 4 hearts, you will awake in the morning and be informed by your spouse that your child is not at home! The child is missing from his/her room and the little one didn't tell anyone where he/she was going.

By nightfall you are both worried. Your spouse gets ready to head out to search outside the farm but your child comes running back up the path. Your child had taken the road and had accentally gotten lost.

This event takes all day. It begins when you get up in the morning and ends at 8:00 pm.

Lost Child, Again

When your first child has 8 or more hearts, you'll awaken in the morning to discover a very worried spouse in your house. It seems your child didn't come home; your spouse wasn't able to find/him her in the morning.

Fast forward to the evening, when your child still hasn't returned home. Your spouse doesn't find this amusing at all and begins to wonder if he/she has decided to run away from home. It is decided to start searching but right before you head out, the child comes home.

Your child explains that he/she had found a baby fox that had wandered away from its mother. They were searching together for the mother fox when the child finally realized how late it had become.

As parents, you're probably always going to worry about him/her.

This another all-day event. It is over at 8:00 pm.

That is very peculiar. I have never heard of such an event yet.

My only suggestion is avoid what could possibly be the cause that is stated in the first link.
Since I've never heard of this nor ever got this far into the game, I can't be of much help.

Hi , guys. I know the causes of that glitch after i had investigated last Saturday and
Sunday. You will encountered with Disappearing Child Glitch because ... Your Child's
Birthday held on WRONG (GLITCH CAUSES) day.

I have experienced on both version (Japanese and USA). And, yes. Both on Japanese and USA
has SAME GLITCH. Here is my explanation :

I played as Boy , Birthday 3 SUMMER, likes Vegetables , married with Candace on 9 Winter
(Proposing on 7 Winter) and Candace asking about baby on 20 Winter and My 1st Child born
on 7 Spring. After fully grown on 7 Autumn , i saved the file on different slot , try to
re-load and my 1st child ... STILL EXIST !!!

BUT, when Candace asking me about 2nd child and My second child born on 24 Winter, after
fully grown up and try to re-load, BOTH OF MY CHILDREN = DISAPPEARED. That because date
around 20 - 28 = your worst nightmare. So, if you want your child still exist, try to get
him / her birth on EARLY date (Around 1 to 9, any season). I can GUARANTEE your child will be
still EXIST because i had tested this not only once but many times.

I want to know about your child's birthday so if you know your child's birthday held on
around 20 - 28 , make sure you try to change into early date by manipulating asking for
child event. Better recomendation so far, Try to get asking child event on 19 - 21 any
seasons so your child will be born on 6 - 8 any seasons.

BUT, wait. There is another thing again that causes the GLITCH too. Try to get Missing
Child Event (part 1 and Part 2) held on EARLY date (Around 1 - 9) . I had experienced the
Missing Child event part 2, even my 2 children still exist but encountered the 2nd part
Missing Child Event on date around 20 - 28 = STILL YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.

I still wonder about PAL version. If somebody had played the PAL version, please tell me
about the GLITCH causes if PAL version still have same GLITCH by SAME causes.

Also, i want to add some notes about this glitch. The Glitch doesn't related with :
1. Your Bachelor/ette
2. Your child's personality and gender
3. Someone says my Wii doesn't like or Disc specific but that was false.
4. Harvest King cutscene doesn't affect with that glitch

BUT, the Glitch will haunted you because :
1. Your child's Birthday held on around 20 - 28 any seasons.
2. Got Missing Child Event part 1 (4heart ) and part 2 (8 heart) on date 20 - 28 any seasons.

So, if you want your child still EXIST , try this (Best result so far) :
1. Married on early date ( 1 - 9 any Seasons)
2. Got Asking for Baby event on Day 19 - 21 any seasons.
3. Make sure your child born on Day 6 - 8 any seasons.
4. Don't got Missing Child event (part 1 and 2 ) on Day 20 - 28.

Please correct me if i wrong and please share your another experienced about this glitch.

BTW, I have been already posted this answer on cheatsguru first. And on this forum i want to add more thing about this glitch.

Has anyone other than yourself replicated/resolved the glitch with your same suggestions? If it was really that date specific (a week long time-frame per season at that), then wouldn't there be more vanishing children that what has already been reported?!?! And how come Natsume hasn't said anything about it yet?

I had discovered this glitch causes by accidentally when i playing the Japanese version. And, yes. Your child will not disappeared if your child birthday not on 20 - 28. You can try to get married on Early date, got asking baby event on 19 - 21 any seasons and get your child born around 6 - 8 any seasons. Try this better solution so far and please report to me if that trick working. Happy wedding !

BTW, so far nobody doesn't know how to solve this problem but i had founded by accidentally last week. Yay...!

I heard something about your kid dissapearing if you save the game on child's day, cutit off, and then cut it back on. Idk if this it true, but I tried....

I've heard about this glitch and I will avoid it- EVEN IF I DIE!!!! Not really, but can you have another child if one disappears?

Now Im really scared me and Luke married 1st of winter so I'm trying to avoid the glitch I will seriously freak out if my game is glitched I mean I wanted this game for ages I had to wait until it came out in the uk then I had to wait until my mum would let me buy it and now I only just got it a couple of days ago I am so worried pls find a way to stop the glitch!
