	Log in to remove this sponsored message Hey Guys Please Help me out! My copy of mass effect 2 hangs at the first loading screen of the game! When I start new game with either male or female game stuck at the first loading screen of the game, I can see a Loading screen but it remains there forever! what's the problem! I also had this kinda problem with Sabotar. In saboteur after adjusting brightness level, game stucks! all I can see is a black screen but I still can hear the sound of the game and Tick sound of the menu when mouse over them (blindly of course!) But the menu screen won't appear! How can I fix this problem? PC Info: Xp SP3 AMD Athlon 64 3000+ K8NF-9 Giga Motherboard 3G Ram DDR 400 Radeon 4870 VGA All Drivers are Updated. Please help me out. 	I can think of two probable causes off the top of my head: Your computer may be freezing up. 4870 is a very decent card (I'm running a 4850), but a lot of graphics power for video cards comes from their ability to steal RAM for their use. My 1gig card is running on a total amount of 4.2gigs of memory; It steals a little over 3gigs from my general RAM, (I have a total of 8gigs of RAM, so 5gig when the video card is eating). Your card may not be getting the amount of power it needs to run the game with that amount of RAM. I'm not entirely sure, as I haven't checked the minimum specs for running ME2. Corrupted files, reinstalling the game (from a different source if possible) can rectify that problem. If you're running the game through Steam, you can have it check file integrity. ------------------- [twitter]

	Neither of those will fix it. I've been having the same problem since release. My specs are more than twice the minimum, and well over the reccomended, and I've re-installed 3 times. No matter how I start it, what settings, what priority, what else I'm running, it will be stuck at that damn loading screen.

	I found out how to start the game, but it´s still unplayable. When you start the game, you see a screen where you should press a key to continue. You stay there until a video shows up. After that video, the game is very laggy and it´s impossible to play that way. But now you can start a game normally and you will pass the loading screen. But as I said, it´s still too laggy to play. I think the problem might be the videos (game dir > biogame > movies), which you can view with the bink player. Now I don´t know what to do, but maybe it could help you. Rename or delete the video files doesn´t work.

	If you still got problems, just create a link to "masseffect2.exe" (not to the launcher) on your desktop and add to it: -nomoviestartup This way, you can play without any videos from the game directory. That fixes the bug that you can not play bink videos ingame with a single core processor. Greetz

	Its not the disc. its a SINGLE core problem. the above solution should fix it. However.. i have heard of quads having this issue. setting af on task manager to "0" fixed those.

	Just tryed the above fix by FLS. worked like a charm. loaded SUPER fast. just sucks that i cant see the video : / but im sure people can live with that. if u wanna see the video so badly, go to youtube =p

	I never had the problem before though, I played it on my pc thousands of times and they were fine. and this is my process core name Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz, it should be fine. but its just the second load is the problem, it gets frozen and stuck there.

	its really annoying, i was even playing ME2 this morning but when I came back, it was like this. can somebody help me I don't want to re-install everything all over again, is there like another solution? because there should be, I mean i don't think its the core problem i think its the game. because I've played this so many times and I had no problem with it what so ever. and here is my email just in case, huangchienwei@gmail.com, thxs
