Paying my bounty plus earning more cash?

So recently I've had a $20 for accidentally riding the Sheriff's horse, and another $40 for threatening someone with my gun. I don't know where to pay it, though!

Also, does anyone have any tips for earning more cash? Right now all I'm doing is killing off some unfortunate coyotes, wolves, skunks, wild horses, and basically any wild animal I happen to pass by, but I do think that it wastes plenty of time.

All right, thank you! I'm a bit farther in the game now, and I've gotten some Pardon Letters. Is there any other way to get them, aside from following the story? It kind of beats paying off my bounty, haha.

I've been trying to hunt wolves now, but then whenever I use some bait it's almost always those coyotes that show up. I have access to Mexico now though. Do you know where the best place to hunt for wolves is? Thank you!

But I want my first run though to be fairly law abiding, and so far (and I just got this game, so this is a newbie perspective)the following has done me well:

1. Hunting - I've gotten a lot of cash just from hunting and I don't bother with bait. When I'm heading somewhere and I notice a lot of animals I just stop and start shooting. The dead bodies lying around seem to bring more animals into the area when I find a sweet spot and they just keep coming. I keep max tobacco on me in case I'm attacked while skinning and try not to use the dead eye while hunting to save it up in case I am. Set up camp and save every once in a while so you don't lose it all if you manage to get yourself killed.
2. Get a rabbits foot early and always loot the dead.
3. Always help random strangers. In the beginning I always rode where I needed to go rather than stagecoach to ensure maximum spawning of stranger side missions etc.
4. Do bounty missions when available and try to take them alive. These are fun for me anyways, and a good way to make some money. You get more when you bring them back alive.
5. Treasure hunt and sell the gold.

So far I always have enough money to buy whatever is newly available and have never had to buy ANY ammunition. I'm sure I'll have more suggestions as the game progresses.

i was law abiding myself but you kill alot of people in the game for missions, gets you enough money and ammo for the whole game
