	Log in to remove this sponsored message After signing this lad for my City team, it has become apparent that he is simply the best young defender on the game. His price will scare many potential buyers away, but he was worth every penny of the 25 million pounds I paid for him. Spoiler:Kurt Zouma He is rated a 5* prospect at a club that includes the current best defender in the world in Vincent Kompany, who is only rated 4.5. Zouma is a physical Adonis and with a little work you could bring his technicals up to world class levels. His first touch is already good and I imagine that when I finish with him he will have a passing and first touch of in excess of 14. At just 20 years of age he is already incredibly mentally strong and being tutored by Vinny will only cement those stats. Spoiler:Vincent Kompany My other young prospect is Karim Rekik (who made his league debut in real life against Reading last week and played quite well). He is physically very good and should be a great long term partner of both Kompany and Zouma. 	I won't call him the best because he has a random PA but in some saves he will be one of if not the best. As for young CBs, there's Varane and Papadopoulos. Edit: Dec 27, 12 10:28pm -------------------

	I'll second the shout of Papadopoulos who is already one of the best centre backs at the start of the game. Haven't had Zouma this year because he costs so much although I did have him last year and he was class. -------------------

	Fix your screenshots. I've seen Zouma once or twice but not really been enticed enough to sign him. Papadapoulos turns out good. Varane became awesome on FM12.

	Wait you paid 25M for him? Could've had Hummels for that who is already one of the best and picked up a cheap regen down the road. -------------------

	Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. One of the most consistent players I've ever had, had him for 4 seasons.

	Well that will teach me to use Droplr to upload images, destroys the link to the image after a few hours and creates a new link each time you look at the image. Have transferred the images to Imageshack and fixed the links in the original post. Ok, well sure he has a random PA but even at the lower end of the scale he still has all the right attributes to be a great defender. Perhaps I should qualify my statement with "on my game". I really wanted a career club defender and both Hummels and Howedes had scouting reports that indicated they would not be as good as Kompany while Zouma was the only defender I had scouted that indicated he would be as good as Vinny. Turns out he will be better, though not quite so rounded out which is ok because Rekik should be able to play as the ball player in the pair in the future.
