Question for you, when you sign the players at the young age, do you have a specific strategy with regards to training schedules or are they just naturally amazing from the start, and become even better when exposed to first team football?

First team football always helps. I have a striker, wasn't close to first team football and he went on loan to Burnley in the Championship. 17 goals in 10 games and his finishing went from 13 to 18. and 2 years later, he hits 30 goals in 28 games.

But I like developing them at the club so I don't really let them go that often. I stick them in the first team and have them train on a schedule with the senior squad.

I know what you mean regarding the first team exposure, I have someone on a Leicester save I did when I first got the game who at 21 has just finished the season with 55 goals in 44 games, and the season before was on about a goal a game, he was only tipped as a good premiership striker by my staff when I moved him up due to injury and since then his rating has gone through the roof, he's rated that highly now that he has a 3.5 star CA, and 5 star PA, which to be quite frank, gives me a slight sense of excitement!

However none of them appear to be quite as good technically as the ones at Rangers, don't know if there's a little something I'm missing, but would love to be churning out players like that!

the ones from my Bromley save were all academy products and a lot of my Arsenal players are home grown too.

of this list in another thread i've bolded the academy products:

GK - Orlando
RB - Kelly
CB - Bruce
CB - Gagno
LB - Sow
DM - Sindelar / Papadopoulos
DLP - Ramsey / Fahrasmane
CM/AM - Wilshere / Isco
AML - Manoel / Ken
AMR - Le Goff / Zola
ST - Withington / Garcia / Schulz

and that's just the first XI, i think i have about 10 players in the squad that are good enough to start. another full back, 2 CB's and a forward off the top of my head but a couple more for sure.

I gathered that he had brought them haha, I mean I'm guessing he got the majority of them at 15/16 and developed them in his academy! Your side looks similar to mine in 2020 in that every position has 2 solid players who could start!

it was 54 at the start of last season. sold about 9 players then and another 5 this year. hoping to get down to 35 or so by the start of the season.

I have 38 in total who I can count as good enough to play for the first team, however 13 of them are 21 or younger, so mostly look at sending them out on loan if they're just going to be bit-part players to give them regular starting opportunities. Although of my usual players, including my rotation options, the oldest is Rugani who I believe is now about 25, and with that I have just missed out on a top 4 spot on goal difference after the final game of the season saw Man City score 2 more in their game, beating me to 4th by one goal

The following are the current new-gens from my City game. Unfortunately only one of them came through the City system, the others all being purchased, but I am hoping for more this season.

Fabio Biagioni - A young Italian striker who has everything it takes to make it in world football. Purchased from Palermo for 12m pounds last seasons shows you how highly I rated this youngster. Currently forced his way into rotation with Balotelli and Aguero and allowed me to sell Edin Dzeko.

Martyn Carree - The only one of these new-gens to come through my youth academy, Carree joined my squad with last years intake. Has loads of potential and became the premier league and Carling Cup's youngest scorer. Will certainly be a big boost for Wales if I can get the best out of this lad.

Serge Roche - A young French central midfielder who I am grooming to become the heart of my squad. Eventually Yaya will retire and this young midfielder will take full time control from a deep midfield position.
