I'm surprised the first game sold so well too, tbh. (It has sold around 2.6 million copies.)

I would've expected Uncharted 2 to have outsold it already, what with all the hype surrounding it. But I guess it's still got a few years to catch up to Drake's Fortune.

I'm no Michael Pachter, but although these resulst are pleasing, my bet is that Uncharted 2 will keep the cash coming in throughout this year. In the UK charts, UC2 has just climbed back up to 1st

No we don't want casual gamers on UC2 MP, I want people who are good at it. But it would increase popularity of uncharted because at the moment I don't think ND are getting all the credit they deserve.

Here is my perspective on modern casual gaming.

- 2007: COD4 was released and was an amazing game that managed to unite both the hardcore and casual gamer in battle.

- 2008: COD-Mania continued, though other titles being released including Dead Space/ Mirror's Edge/ Battlefield: Bad Company also appealed to the casual market.

- 2009: Modern Warfare 2 sold like hot cakes, but the community had degraded a huge ammount, and there are a lot of unsatisfied COD-fans trolling the IW forums. Some casuals gamers moved towards alternatives such as Uncharted 2, broadening their gaming scope.

- 2010: Call of Duty: Vietnam is one of my most anticipated titles this year, simply because it's in 'Nam though I doubt sales will take a battering. Casual gamers now have their eyes on COD-alternatives such as Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor which is good news for other game developers and the gaming community alike.

The next COD is in Vietnam? Treyarch can really take it far with that one, what with the enemies using guerilla tactics and so on.

In COD tradition, Infinity Ward and Treyarch take it in turns to release titles in the series, meaning it's Treyarch's turn in 2010.
