Is it any good? |
|
Read on a few places that this game was a good one and was thinking about getting it. Not really a huge gamer and only really play a few series (COD, FIFA etc) but I love the Metal Gear Solids mainly due to the story and gameplay. I think this is supposed to have a really good story and after finishing MGS4 could do with another one. So could anyone give me a recommendation and maybe some pros or cons please?
Thanks Martin | |

Well firstly it's a third person action adventure game, with the odd puzzle here and there. Lots of platforming and plenty of action (and dam good action too). The controls and gameplay are brilliant, well suited to the genre, while the graphics are superb. In most situtions you have many options how to fight a battle, for example where to take cover, which weapons to use, whether to use stealth or not etc. As for the story....it's great, and the character depth is excellent. I would go for it if i were you.

yeh if u like mgs4, then u would like this. u dont need to be a huge gamer to enjoy this. its the same third person shooter, same gameplay as mgs4. mgs realy heavily on stealth, this one is all about shooting and platforming, but they do have some stealth in it. u can choose whether to take the enemy quietly with stealth or shoot ur way in.

Cheers lads will look into it further, does sound fairly good tho.
A few more final questions though, What is the online like? How long will the campaign take approximately? And finally is it good for replaying once completed and is it still entertaining or is it just a one-time play through sort of game - good lastability if you will. Thanks again and I promise I won't ask any more questions

campaign last for about 10-15 hours depending on the difficulty. just like any other linear game, if uve seen the story, then uve seen it. the scenes in the game is close to a movie tho, so if u enjoy watching movie again and again, then this game will be replayable for u.
most ppl just play it twice tops, because theres online multiplayer. thats where they spend most of their time after they complete the campaign. so the replayability is on the multiplayer part. ------------------- ![]() Now Playing:Uncharted 2, Tekken 6, Fallout 3, Phantasy Star 0, Burnout Paradise, Nostalgia

The multiplayer isn't spectacular, but i think it's good. Well, for me, since i love the control scheme in uncharted, the multiplayer is the best multiplayer i've played, and i'll be hooked on for ages. It depends on whether you like a more fps game or tps.

Along with excellent gameplay, all these elements put into one game perfectly and sick graphics; this game is just like a movie, except you play the good parts yourself. Theres over 90 minutes of cinematics and its really cool to watch, although you can skip it.
Using Machinima Mode you can make your own videos or pictures, gifs etc either with your friends or by yourself. It has lip-syncing too.... ------------------- --------------- ![]() Death from Above
