Earlier today my flatmate turned the wireless modem on and off without asking me if it was ,ok wen i was in the middle of a match. i was signed out of PSN wen my team was on 49 kills. i decided afterwards to just play SP for a while. i just went back on and it said for leaving a match they had taken off $40,000 and back a level.

WTF !??? surely they should have a system to work out why u left. sure its fine if u actually left its ok but i didnt intentionally leave i was disconnected !!!!! Im really F***ED off now !!! now i have to work to get back to the level i was on before !!

Mmmm, I have yet to experience this, but $40k is a huge penalty. Fair enough knocking 5k off or something, but that is simply ridiculous. I'm sure if ND gets enough complaints, they will patch it.

same thing happened to me today had power cut dropped 2 levels and lost more than 40000 plus had to wait 100 secs to play again . i agree with the principal of a punishment for leaving esp arena mode but its a bit too much of a penalty

They should do it like Halo 3 does, if your system is shut down or you lose your connection once, they give you a free one for that day, but any more after during that day you lose an EXP.

i think 40,000 penalty is good to punish a leaver. i hate ppl that purposely disconnect themself when theyre losing. im not talking bout this game specifically but an online game in general.

the best way to fix it is if they can somehow detect what caused the player to leave, whether they do it intentionally or losing connection. but i dont think they can, so u just need to make sure u always have a good connection when u are playing.

That's why I am not going to make a big deal about ranking up in this game. I will tend worry about it games like COD or Halo 3 (Halo 3 don't have to anymore because I'm a General ).

if network disconnection doesnt count, then ppl would just pull the net cable whenever they want to leave. thats even worse, because it means those leaver can get away with it. if net disconnection doesnt count, im sure there will be more leaver.

yeh, but i dont think they can possibly tell who disconnect on purpose and who genuinely get a bad connection. or can they? i dont really understand how it works. but i assume they cant.

The penalty should be lower. This way disconnecters don't lose too much, and quitters won't quit too much. A healthy balance

This would be a good compromise.
