A battle would liven up the plot, and a battle with more than just harry. More then just Ron and Hermione too.

well the pheonix represents both good and evil cuz if u remember well both harry and Voldemort have pheonix feathers in there wands, and it is the same pheonix that saved harry in the chamber of secrets

I wonder what happens when a phoenix taht big breaks loose, and dies too. Lots of ashes all around, for sure...
