Featured Card Discussion: Thought Ruler Archfiend

When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, gain Life Points equal to that monster's original ATK. You can pay 1000 Life Points to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that targets 1 Psychic-Type monster, and destroy it.

This is the answer to that Dimensional Prison that Stardust can't get by, pretty much...

Honestly, I find this thing useful in many decks despite its typing, Seraphim. I run a copy in my Exodia deck and in my lockdown deck for those times where I get backed into a corner and need to get some LP back. I don't really care much for its negation effect, but I don't use Psychics often anyway.

As for soniczero's idea of it being annoying... I don't see it. There are plenty of ways to get rid of it outside of battle such as Bottomless Trap Hole and Torrential Tribute that don't target, thus bypassing the negation effect (assuming there's no Stardust Dragon or other card that can negate the aforementioned cards).

Wait. WHAT? I add this card to the neowiki and suddenly this thread appeared before me. When it coincidentally fell with our current card of the day thread I felt the need to mention this thread. As far as I am concerned, I AM INNOCENT KUPOPOPOPO!

Also, as a Duel Terminal card it is dead sexy.
