I'll probably buy the Saiyuki Reload one off of my local store, because apparently Gensomaden it isn't licensed in US. Solitaire is correct, Gensoumaden is just the fancy part of the name used to differentiate the first DVDs, more commonly called just plain old Saiyuki. Reload is what happens AFTER. My usual recommendation is to read the manga first and by all means read the Reload manga as well. (It's still coming out here in the states) Then watch Saiyuki. (The first anime and the movie.) Skip the Reload anime. It's pretty damn bad, especially if you love the first DVDs. But yes - the DVDs are often running on sale everywhere. You tried Hellsing or Gungrave? Both amazing Gunslinger series. Gunslinger Girl is good aswell, not so much gore though. You can try Devil May Cry series aswell, but it's not so good. Alright if you want a piece of action. I'd think you'd like Saiyuki, one of the leading characters main weapon is a gun. -------------------

It's a 26 episode series based on a game series for PS2. You don't need to play the games to understand the Anime. It's an awesome series directed by Toshiyuki Tsuru, who's contributed towards other series, including the storyboard for episode #14 of Cowboy BeBop. Gungrave is just an all-round good Gunslinger Anime, I'm sure you'll like it. -------------------

	Alright, so, I've been out of the anime loop for quite a few years now and have diminished myself to the few series I own and love and watch constantly, but never take the time to experience any new ones (been disappointed and lost money way too many times). Series I consistently watch and enjoy; Evangelion Serial Experiments Lain Cowboy Bebop Trigun GTO Gravitation And yeah. Rather sad, I know. Years ago I had started to download episodes of Wolf's Rain and Hikaru no Go (before they were brought to the US, so no harm, no foul ^^ ). I was thinking of continuing Wolf's Rain (anyone have an opinion on whether the dub is good or not?) Other series I was contemplating checking out are "Technolyze", "Haibane Renmei", and "Now and Then, Here and There". If someone could give me a summary of those series, it would be great. It's been awhile and I can't remember anything about them whatsoever. If anyone has recommendation for other series along those lines, I would be pleased to hear it. I enjoy very adult themes. Not necessarilly sexual, but all-around mature. Philosophical is good, as well. I'm a bit of an angst-fiend. And a good comedy is always appreciated. Thanks in advance! 	There was a horrible 4Kids dub on TV for a while, it was better than the dub to Naruto though. There is a better dub that aired before the 4kids dubbing but I'm not sure who did it. The equivalent to chakra, ki, reitsu, etc. in Shamn King is furyoku. quote ANN Asakura Yoh is a shaman, a person who communicates with ghosts. He enters the Shaman Fight, for whoever wins the tournament gets to commune with the Great Spirit, God . . . that and his fiance Anna wants to be the wife of the Shaman King. Helping him are his friends Manta, Horo Horo, Ryu, and his samurai ghost partner, Amidamaru. Once every 500 years, there's an event called the Shaman Fight, and whoever wins becomes the Shaman King and can use the most powerful spirits ever. Asakura Yoh comes to Tokyo to train and become the Shaman King. Accompanied by many friends, he defeats many enemies along and the way, and gets more friends. Yoh is a young shaman, one who can see and communicate with spirits. Shaman's also have another power,the ability to unify with spirits and use the spirit's fighting skills. Yoh is training to become the Shaman King, strongest among all Shamans, a title won by winning the Grand Tournament that takes place every 500 years. Helping him are his best friend Morty, a short kid who can also see ghosts, Amidamaru, an old samurai and his spirit partner, and his fiance Ana, a spirit meduim and his trainer. However, another Shaman family is trying to keep Yoh out of the tournament. Along the way he meets a bunch of other misfit ghosts and wannabe Shamans. It's a really good series. It aired here about 4 years ago and I think it's just as good as any of the series you mentioned. (Except maybe for Bleach) I'm not sure what the DVD releases are like but if they're from 4Kids then you should check out the manga, it's awesome. It might still be on one of the channels in the US, you'll have to check. -------------------
