Finally, the spirit world isself. Many Ruykou(SP?) are choosen, or have the spirit power to become Deathgod's. In fact, many of them are able to. The point is, it is often mentioned about eating only if you had to replace spirit energy. So this means if you don't have any energy, you don't have to eat...so therefore, everyone who is on that side of the gate, is already dead. Which means, Ichigo, could technically be killed, and still fight on, becuase he would go to the other side. Or am i taking the words "spirit world" literally? Such a strange link between the two worlds.

well this is a grey area that has been talked about in alot of forums.. but anyway basically one thing that must be agreed upon for this bleach world to exist is that that are five different worlds within the bleach story..

i will start from the bottom up..

1. Hell- yeah there is a hell... if you watch the first 20 epsiodes you will realise one of the hollows is sent directly to hell instead of back to hueco mundo.so that is enough proof..

2. Hueco Mundo- This is not hell.. this is just where the Hollows come from and where the current arc of the manga is being held...In this world, a spirit can die and live like in soul society.. the dead ones are presumably sent to hell. It is like a precursor to hell.

3. Earth(Karakura town)- This does not need explanation...

4. Soul society- the so called good souls who die on earth with nothing holding them back(e.g not orihime's brother) or hollows who have been given soul burials are sent here... and as far as we know it is the same as hueco mundo in the sense that souls can live and die up here as well as eat and sleep to replenish reiatsu(spirit power)..

5.Heaven - Okay this is the only one where there is no proof it exists in bleach.. however it is presumed if you die in soul society of a good cause, they go up here...however everything about heaven is totally speculation..the other explanation is that souls that die in soul society just end up in being reborn elsewhere...

The thing you misunderstood is that people in rukongai don't have spirit energy... they do have spirit energy, but it is too little to be bothered about... the ones that do have greater spirit power are taken in by soul society e.g rukia, renji..and basically everyone except the four noble families in sereitei(the place the death gods live)

Sent to Hueco Mundo...? Shinigami can't send Hollows to Hueco Mundo. >_>;

When killed by a Shinigami, a Hollow either goes to Hell or to Soul Society. NOT Hueco Mundo. ._.;

Hey, why don't the Shinigami ever just break into Hueco Mundo and kill Hollow there? XD

Zuwha? But one of the Shinigami's goals is to protect all souls from the Hollow, right? So why not just cut them off from the source? And what "balance" are you talking about?

Shinigami's job is actually to keep a balance of all the souls in the world. They don't actually kill the hollows when they slay them, I believe they send them to hell or heaven.

Quincy's used to actually kill hollows, and destroy the souls, so shinigami had to exterminate the Quincy, because they would not listen to shinigami.

Oh! I remember now! The Quincy actually hunted hollows, the Shinigami just purified them? Then why not break into Hueco Mundo and purify them there?

Kuchiki is a 'noble family'. Byakuya's a member of that family.
