I can't believe I haven't introduced myself yet.

I'm Dragoon obviously, been watching Animé since May last year iirc, I may not be the most avid anime fan, but I watch some such as Bleach, Durarara!, Darker than BLACK, D.Gray-Man, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn to name just a few. You'll see my post here from time to time.

urrhh wow its been.... 6 years since I posted last but.. somehow it made sence to come back.. (dont ask, suppose it's cause I've had some good memories here, some bad, but mostly good)

Don't think any1 will remember me as its been too long (and previous members would have probably moved on by now) but I am Nine ball.. a SERIOUS old timer.. who left due to some rl obligations.. and just out of a whim.. thought I would browse around to see if this forum is still florishing (very popular back in the day not sure if it is as active but I still see a few old faces emerging from the woodwork on one or two threads.. so its a trip down memory lane.. ). but yea I am elaborating a bit...

I suppose I am a BIG old school anime fan (70s,80s and 90s), soft spot for the old greats and have a penchant for rare, obscure anime titles (stuff like Golden boy, otaku no video, ect) so if ya know any good titles that has enough appeal for me to wipe the dust off of, pm me, (have eclectic taste so will try stuff from Monster to Super Dimensional Fortress Macross.. though I suppose Macross isn't really obscure in the US as much as the UK..)


I don't really follow the recent batch of anime shows to a great extent as I used to, (usually just for kicks or reccomendations.. and just laugh at how.. ridiculously mawkish they can be. )

Hell I know anime in general are notorious for not knowing moderation or underplay but JESSSSSSSUSSSSS!! I nearly had to walk out the room of an old anime society in uni from loling so loud at key scenes in Code Geass... that other "aficionados" of Anime felt were "too delicate to be ruined"....GAHAHAHRRAHAHA.... but urrhemm I digress...)

Will also still try a few recent stuff also though.. (might get a few unintentional chuckles and rifts out of it so it wont be so bad.. hell think mst3k style..heheh..) so its all good

To give u a idea of what I like: SDFM (obviously) Princess Mononoke( practically anything ghibli), Irresponsible Captain Tylor, FMP:Fumoffu ... ect, ect

p.s I really didnt mean to be insensitive with Code Geass and tried to hold it in to be respectful as everyone has varied tastes. so I respect that, but wow....

[spoiler=]not to much a spoiler as u see in the first...15mins but that scene where C.C first saves lelouch was .. a little over-dramatic.. . It has this Yamaha choir synth sound that acts as a prelude to C.C's entry to the path of the bullet... It''s timing just seemed so.. out of place and over the top.. think the lining of my stomach was going to bifurcate to squirt out a little alien xenomorph of chuckles [/spoiler]

Ive been watching anime for a while now, i started out watching dragonballz...i know all there is to know about it (that includes dragonball and GT)

Im also heavily into Bleach. I cant wait for the new Trigun to come out.

I am a long-time Anime Watcher, started back in '96 with Dragonball Z and made my way to Pokemon/Yugioh/Digimon/Sailormoon/Card Captors/TMNT in 2000 onwards, still watch most of these nowadays but focused mainly on Bleach and Pokemon atm. Been lurking the Anime forum for awhile sticking mainly to the Dragonball & Pokemon general discussion but thought I might as well go mainstream now. Hey i'm smarti3 and have liked Anime ever since they used to show DBZ on Cartoon Network ^^


I like DBZ/Dragonball/GT,Bleach,Naruto. The only Anime series i've watched is Samurai Champloo which was just amazing. Oh and Afro Samurai too which is fantastic.

I also like Miyazaki's movies as most of the things from Studio Ghibli are masterpieces. My favourite has got to be Spirited Away - I couldn't even tell you how many times i've seen it !
