That was actually the only complaint that I could think of.

At this point I'm scared continuing higurashi no naku Koro ni Kai. It just gets more depressing with every episode and I fear whatever might come next.

Okay hi, if you liked Angel Beats! you'll enjoy 4 anime that all have the same core writer, that being Jun Maeda. Those three are Kanon 2006 (the one by Kyoto Animation, not Toei), Clannad and it's sequal Clannad~After Story~, and AIR.

The ending of Kai is one of the most epic endings ever. One word: Akasaka-san. Such a *bleep*in' boss.

Kratos, I know that feel. I get burned out sometimes and have to watch Western stuff for a while. Sometimes you need time away. Other times if you force yourself to watch something it gets you past it.

The Player 75, welcome man! Always great to have new blood. I'd love to give you some recommendations. How much anime have you watched? Don't be afraid of admitting that you're new. That's fine and encouraged. I heartily second Luffy's recommendations. They're anime that are revered *incredibly* highly in the anime community. As in, you won't go very far talking to any anime fan without hearing praise for those. What else though? I'd throw in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I recommend watching the first season in the order it aired. You'll see what I mean when you watch it. Come ask if you're confused. The reason I recommend it is, if you liked the musical aspects of Angel Beats, Haruhi is pretty famous for a particular stage performance late in the series. Also Yuri is basically a watered-down Haruhi.

If you liked Angel Beats for the drama, definitely check out ToraDora. It's a romantic comedy. Actually it's more like *the* romantic comedy around here. It's an endearing experience through and through, with some of the most organic inter-character chemistry in the industry. It's also got a brilliant sense of humor.

If you REALLY liked the drama, I'll just drop ef ~ a tale of memories here. Straight of romance drama that touches the soul, and remains one of my all-time favorite anime. One of those rare 10/10s. Lastly I'll recommend sola, which has a lot of the fantasy side to it. It's also written by someone who wrote the story for Kanon, which luffy recommended to you, and which is made by the same company as Angel Beats. So there are similarities.

That aside, I recommend you check out my anime list. I've got it ordered by score here and you can see ones I liked and you can click on them for summaries to see if they appeal to you. I like to think I have good tast.

With new people flowing in, it might be time to reboot NeoEVA. Of course my computer is no longer capable of that shit. Kanon, luffyluffy, Insanity Prevails, interested in hosting something? Player 75, just to tune you in, NeoEVA is something we do where we watch anime together. If you plan on sticking around you should really feel free to take part. I was thinking we'd finally watch Akira or something of the sort. Maybe Battle Angel Alita. Something classic and relatively short. Not a series.

They've got atmospheric, musical and tragic similarities. Just being made by the same specialized company creates a similar experience. You know what I mean?

I agree with Kanon's order, though personally I'd say watch Air before Kanon 2006. I know more people who watch Kanon and then dislike Air than I do vice versa. Best experience is probably Air, Kanon, Clannad.
