Na..i rekon he'll pull out a bankai aswell. I mean it is bleach...

The arc will end and we'll find out that Kenpachi fell asleep on the toilet during the whole thing.

Kenpachi won't show up because he would just crush all these bankai thieves. Soul Society is going down and hopefully a lot of good characters die with it.

So am I the only one enjoying Bleach lately?

I do try to enjoy Bleach for what it is. I think as soon as you start looking into things too much or getting high expectations, that's when you end up disappointed.

However, was anyone else really annoyed at the chapter last week? I mean, the Captains have their Bankai stolen and all of a sudden they all start running around like headless chickens But hey, give them the choice to use their Bankai (ie the fight against Aizen) and they'll choose not to. It's as if they're only panicking because the choice was taken away from them. Like seriously, grow up.

Renji was the worst considering he's already been in a fight once before where his Bankai was sealed

It seems they aren't just sealing or stealing bankai, but the soul of the zanpakutou. Hitsugaya couldn't even get a response from Hyourinmaru.


Renji is the Bad Luck Brian of Bleach. Rukia gets adopted by nobility and gives him the brush off, he fights Ichigo for the first time as a lieutenant before Ichigo even knew that his zanpakutou had a name, and nearly gets killed until the man he envies the most saves him; he finally learns bankai to save the friend who snubbed him only to be nearly killed in his first fight using that bankai, and his opponent is the same rival who saved him last time, who is also his commanding officer. He gets to Hueco Mundo and has his bankai sealed before having his organs crushed by the biggest pansy in the Espada. Now he's in a fight where he can't use bankai without losing the ability to release his zanpakutou at all, and everybody realizes they can't win without the power of bankai.

He's a great guy and certainly quite strong, but he's the Krillin of Bleach. He spends more time on the ground and getting saved than anybody else. For all those wanting a good guy to die, look elsewhere. It will never be Renji. Kubo is having too much fun using him as a punching bag.

edit: and inb4 luring Ichigo to Hueco Mundo in order to steal a bankai or three before he could aid his allies was the plan all along.

This could have been a great time to have Grimmjaw come to the rescue...come on Kubo
