I'm kind of disappointed with Nisioisin on this one. This is probably the worst thing he's made. I was really excited about the anime, and I'll probably watch it, but this manga is really not that good. I don't see this as any better than the other Jump comics. I still like it and everything. It's fun and I'll be looking forward to weekly releases. But the characters aren't that great and the powers are awkward.

I mean it was already pushing it for me when it got to the point where murder was suddenly okay at this school. And how the hell were people at all surprised or impressed with Medaka when it seems like EVERY person in the manga has absurd powers? I mean they made Medaka's campaign seem like a surprise, when suddenly everyone is retardedly powerful. Furthermore how did that random dude who ran against her in her initial campaign get off thinking he had a snowball's chance with all those monstrous abnormals all around?

Seriously, as much as I'm enjoying it, it's kind of retarded and it seems like a manga where I just have to ignore all reasoning to enjoy. Which is fine, but still.

New found appreciation for this manga because I just fully caught up. "JUST WATCH. I'LL END THIS MANGA BEFORE THE ANIME BEGINS." God I love you Nisio. That's hilarious. That means in 3 months this manga is ending. And it's becoming a love comedy. I also love the theory. "Any manga that goes on longer than 10 volumes is just coasting on its success." That was great. This has turned an average shounen manga into a really good Shounen manga, merely by making the whole thing into a massive commentary on shounen manga in general. I look forward to seeing what happens.
