We probably could. What I would actually really like to do is make some sort of thread for old anime. I've just been brooding over how to implement it. I want some way for those of us who really appreciate the ancient ones to get together.

VeGiTAX2, that story was about what I expected. Gaming goes hand in hand with anime in a lot of cases, so it's no surprise there was early interest in anime discussion. luffyluffy, satisfied with that answer? Haha.

The Pokemon anime was one of those that I watched that never really registered as an anime for me. They did a really good job making it seem as non-Japan related as possible. That's probably why it was so successful.

16 years of sporadic animu watching. Damn, it all started with samurai pizza cats.

All this talk about age certainly makes me feel too damn old. More or less 15 years of animu and still counting. I remember way back then, I anxiously wait for the OP of the show and record the song using a cassette recorder. I think that cassette is still lying around somewhere hiding amongst my stuff.

Who still remembers their first anime anyways? I remember coming home from school to watch samurai pizza cats all the time when I was young, then watching dragon ball z, sailor moon (occasionally only I swear) and reboot (not anime but whatever) on Toonami once I was in 4th or 5th grade. The funny thing is that even back then, my mentality was "no one can ever know my secret". Closet anime fan for life, right here.

Samurai Pizza Cats? You serious? Hahaha. I don't know man, in Elementary School for me if you watched DBZ you were a cool son of a bitch. It was when you reached high school and had diversified that it started to become a bit iffy. Then you went into the closet. Haha.

Also when I was that age I watched Sailor Moon a couple of times and thought I would get cooties so I refused to acknowledge that I liked it.

Hearts, Hamtaro back in the day seemed really cool. I remember being all excited about it for some reason.
