So start of the Haruka route in the VN seemed about on par with the rest of the anime and I enjoyed it. But still, so far this is a mediocre at best adaptation. I just don't find myself impressed like I have with previous Key adaptations. It's at a level where I think if I didn't know this was Key, I'd be harshly critical. And this isn't a "latest two episodes" thing. I'd have been harshly critical from the start. This just hasn't been that great to me, even having loved the game.

KyoAni repeatedly passed on LB! in favor of crap. At that point I'd tell them to screw off and find a new studio too.

It's not like I wish it were KyoAni, I just wish it WEREN'T JC.

So this thread was tl;dr, what I did read though seemed to tell that the general consensus is that nothing from common happened before the accident. However, wouldn't it make more sense for the Baseball team/game have happened in the real world? That would explain the team being pre-determined as well as Haruka sneaking on the bus, Mio being friendly towards the team, ect ect.

Maybe one path in the Common route was canon and the alternate routes within that one a what-if situation. This one path was a basically a flashback
