[though tbh, the first thing I thought of when all the main characters disappeared for 7 years wasn't One Piece, but rather Ocarina of Time...In that scenario Link was effectively asleep in another dimension until such a time he was ready to be the hero he was required to be. There's a lot of possibilities to go with here.]

Think what you want mate, but i dont read it. And it could be for any reason, not just training. I just hope they aren't dead, or else death has no meaning in this manga, which would just ruin it. It is already critisised heavily for it's lack of killing off ANY characters, and to kill off all character only to just bring them back would destroy the manga.

Excluding the last chapter, we have 2 deaths (Ur and Rob) in flashbacks, 1 offscreen death (Racer), and 4 deaths shown (Simon, Zoldeo, Azuma and Zancrow). I think numbers speak for themselves.
