It just so haaaaappens that Ayu's is at my absolute top.

Ok now including Ushio is unfair. No arc has any chance at all.

Kanon, I deserve all scorn that comes with that mistake. You cannot hit me hard enough. I shall repent with traditional Japanese torture. Know that my intent was not to remotely compare the two characters, it was a completely unrelated brain fail with no real underlying meaning.

Also, I understand Ushio is a completely unfair arc candidate.

Kratos, desensitization definitely plays a part. I actually had a phase where nothing got to me anymore. After slowing down my amount of anime intake I have regained my senses (though it was never a full recovery). But also no, you weren't the only one. The Misuzu arc was by far the most capturing and soul-ripping. The others were more of an excuse for development of the characters for the first bunch of episodes. Plus a bit of comedy.

Insanity Prevails, I'm fairly certain Air TV had the lowest budget of all the Key adaptations. It was KyoAni's second production (just after Fumoffu!), and they were really still a fledgeling company. Considering what they had available, I think they did the best they could. It probably would have been cool to have 24 episodes, but that might have hurt the amazingly beautiful animation that came as a result of smart budgeting. Considering that, I sort of wish they'd adapted Air TV last, or at least after Haruhi, which skyrocketed this company into mega-stardom. Just think how awesome Air would have been with a Clannad-level budget and 24 episodes. The godliness.

Edit: Chiisana Tenohira just came on on my iPod, but I didn't realize I had my iPod playing or that my headphones were in. So suddenly all I hear is this very faint and familiar piano playing at the beginning, and I could not for the life of me figure out where it was coming from. I just sort of sat there perplexedly looking around trying to figure out if I'd gone mad and was hearing little piano strokes. Then the main part came on and I had a happy Clannad moment. It was a pleasant surprise. Just thought I'd share.

Kratos, forgot to warn you about the recap. Watch Air in Summer now. It'll cheer you up. Super funny. But yeah, Episode 12 just ruins your life for a day doesn't it? XD

So dudes, Key faces. Better in the anime or in the games? Some people say game I think, but it's pretty much gotta be the KyoAni renditions right? The ones in the game are so freakin' weird looking. XD

Clannad VN question to those who played it. Do you think the Kyou and Tomoyo OVA do justice for their VN paths since there was no way to fit it into the actual series?
