hah! I got in the mood to rewatch one of my anime box sets and I just happened to choose Berserk above all the others. Went googling just now to see whatever happened with the manga series since I stopped buying the volumes (not surprised, after all these years, series is only at 35 with Volume 36 coming out in October according to Amazon /facepalm). Upon googling, I was reminded about the new anime project. To my surprise, they've already released two of the three films in Japan:

Berserk Golden Age Arc I: The Egg of the King
The first film was released on February 4, 2012 in Japan.

Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey
The second film was released on June 23, 2012 in Japan.

Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent
The third film will be released at some point later in 2012.

WHAT. THE. *bleep*?! Has anyone watched these? I must find these films, now!

Hey, thanks for reviving my thread.

And yeah, I used to think the Griffith in the films was supposed to be the newer Griffith back when the ads first appeared, but disregard that. I guess the film crew just decided to go with Miura's current art style all the way through instead of adapting his older style appropriately for the golden age, and it confused me at first.
No biggie, though. I won't hold it against them.
