Mavis is a dragon. Or some such. Definitely not Cana's father, though; she was saying she'll get to meet him as in after finding the grave she'd be S-Class and won't be ashamed about meeting him, is what I took from it (and what her entire 'thing' has been this arc). I'd put money on her father being Bluenote.

Also, on the concert page fan service poster thing they're all holding small dildos rather than microphones, which is a little disturbing.

This arc has been pretty good for "plot twists you didn't see coming", actually.

I'm fairly sure the anime staff and Mashima hold regular discussions about the anime's pacing each week because of the uncanny coincidences between the manga and anime that have happened recently. If this is true, Mashima kind of tricked the anime staff into making Gildarts into kind of a dick with that flashback.

Wait a second...this chapter, 232, page 5...is it just me, or did Bluenote raise his left hand...and fire with his right? That definitely looks like he's firing with his right hand in the next panel.

But if he stepped forward he'd practically fall off the cliff, he's right on the edge. It doesn't look like he's moved from that spot at all. I don't know, it just seems weird, haha.
