I know that Mastix watches lots of anime on this site we both use.
We watch anime in Japanese with english subtitles.
Usually on the day, or a few days after they premier in Japan.

So I'll just watch it online.
But might be awhile.
Restarted watching Hunter X Hunter, the show that Kurapica is from.

But might take a break to try CG.
Even though I'm not a Mecha fan.

Hey, Code Geass did not make me the otaku I am today. It was some other anime that I watched approximately 3 years ago. I am a bit... crazy. If I'm correct in assuming "crazy" means "watches too much anime." I'm not half as crazy as some of those people whose watched anime list goes into the thousands... I've only spent 114.3 days of my life on this crap. Many I know have spent somewhere around 400. Still, my 114.3 days was enough to tell me there are a truck load of eye techniques out there that you all have yet to list.

On that note, I'm surprised some Yu-Gi-Oh fan hasn't popped in yet and mentioned Pegasus's Millenium Eye. I personally loath Yu-Gi-Oh, but hey, it belongs on the list as one of the most useless eye techniques out there. Unless you like to play poker.

Yu-gi-oh was a good card game, but the show was just bull shit. Sorry to put it so bluntly. Besides, we're looking for unique eye powers. Millenium Eye < Mao's geas. In all fairness, Yu-gi-oh came before Code Geass, but code geass is better. There maybe 10,000 eye powers out in different animes, but if they're all similar to eachother then no one gives a flute. So pegasus and his red suited self can jump off a cliff for all I care.

Well I wouldn't include Pegasus' Millenium Eye because it's the item that is doing that.
Not his own eye, just that item.

What about Jinei's eye power from Ruroni Kenshin?
He paralyzed the girl by using his eyes.

I can't remember who exactly, but didn't some lady from Trigun's Gung-ho Guns have a power similar to that?

Dominique the Cyclop's Demon Eye. It put Vash into a trance which temporarily stunned him, thus giving the illusion that she could disappear and reappear in an instant. As long as her opponents focus on her using 1 of the 5 senses they can be hypnotized. The only way to overcome it is through pain.

I still call it an eye power. It interacts directly with his brain, therefor it's a part of him that happens to be capable of being removed.

The Rurouni Kenshin power is kind of tough. It's something anyone can learn, so it's not really a special power, but I suppose it qualifies as a technique.

Well even if other people can learn it, it is hard to learn and takes time and effort.
For that reason, not many people know it.
So I'd call it pretty unique, in a way...

Besides, I wouldn't really call the geas unique either. CC & VV could give it to anyone they wanted. Lol, they're practically giving them away.

So Jenei's would fit right in.

Opps, not unique but difficult to obtain is more of the phrase I was looking for. With Sharingan & Byakugan the user must be born into a certain bloodline, with the exception of Kakashi. This fact makes these 2 powers unique & rare abilities. The only real unique qualities about the geas are that they're only obtainable by people CC & VV deem worthy. The second thing is that the geas's ability varies from person to person. And lastly, the Shinigami eyes. Only one who has touched the deathnote and made the deal with a death god can possess the eyes. So when you think about it, only afew people from the anime ever touched the deathnote, but even fewer actually made the deal (3) Eyes that you can obtain simply by training aren't really unique, nor are they hard to get, rare.

Well the Millenium Items are probably just as hard to get, if not harder.
But who cares about YuGiOh anyway.

Kakashi's case is different.
He got his from a dying friend, and even though he only has one, he has great skill and even has a new level.
He and Sasuke both have unique Mangekyo Sharigan.
Itachi and Madara have the same though.

Byakugan does seem be as hard as a Sharigan to obtain.
Hinata and the other Hyuuga, I think the cousin, both can use their Byakugan even though they have little.
Sasuke who has great skill got his over time, training, and in dire conditions.

Geas sound kind of easy to get.
Just pledge some undying alligance to whomever and you'll get them. =/

Shinigami Eyes are the most useless unless you have a Death Note.
The time left for their death doesn't do anything for the human, only for the Shinigami to increase their life.
Only the name is in their interest.
But even with the name, you still have to write it, and that won't be easy during battle.
And if you are trying to avoid battle to continue living, you are still giving up half of your remaining life span.

Sharigan drain your stamina greatly.
Especailly when using a Mangekyo Sharigan.
Even the great Itachi couldn't use his for more than 3 seconds.

The Byakugan only helps your vision.
Lets you see Chakra points and all 359 degrees around you.

Not sure about the power of Geas, but Wikipedia said somthing about limits, and other Geas can negate their effects.

The Millenium Eye traps people in another dimension and lets you read minds, to some extent.
Not that great, not that bad.

Jinei's eye power, not sure of the extent of it, can paralyze an entire body with a glace.
Including organs.
Pretty good, but can be stopped.

I'd say Kurapica's Kurata Scarlet Eyes are the best seeing how they increase the person's abilities greatly.
Allows a mastery of all Nen types.
And there are no side effects except those eyes are treasured by hunters.
Making Kurata members targets for being killed for wealth.
But with the eyes, you can easily defeat most with some level of skill.

As for the Geas, depending on you power, you might have to maintain direct eye contact (Lelouch & Emperor) Or you may only have a certain range in which the effect can be used in (Mao & Rolo). Only one person can negate the powers of geas. But it seems he is working with Lelouch for the time being. I'd say Lelouch obtains victory over most of the others.

Mangekyou Sharingan is available to all the regular sharingan users now. Each one seems unique though.

Seems like Geas have even more limitation.
More points loss.

It's not that each one is unique, it's that they were all obtained through different methods.
And no one knew there were multiple Mangekyo Sharigan.

Madara killed his comrades to get his.
Itachis killed his best friend and got the same.
Sasuke killed is brother, and got a different one.
Kakashi, well no one knows, and he has a different one.

All have different powers too.
Itachi/Madara have a Black Flame and a torture Genjustsu.
Kakashi can manipulate time and space.
No one knows what Sasuke's can do.

Sasuke hasn't killed his brother though... Atleast not yet in anime. I swear, if they keep farting around with fillers we'll never get back to the main storyline in bleach or naruto.
