Darknet, which one? The one against Wally or the one against the guy who pissed him off by insulting all the people he fought and he one shotted with an epic upper cut? Yeah that was pretty bogus. Though it was pretty nice to see Ippo absolutely pissed and destroy his opponent. It still ticked me off that there was all this build up and then lol Ippo's weakness wasn't so weak after all.

I found Ippo's worst fight to be the one with the really thick necked guy. The "fight between men of the sea." I found that fight incredibly boring. Oh wait no there was a worse one... Which was it... Oh. The one with the old guy. That one pissed me off.

Darknet, actually I started reading Hajime no Ippo around the start of the Wally fight and only recently decided to start from the beginning. It was absolutely shit to go week by week and then the whole thing was just pointless.

The fight at the bottom of the sea annoyed me because it was just not entertaining to see the both of them locked together exchanging blows. There were better fights. Spider was my least favorite though.

Darknet, the Sawamura fight was just before the Spider fight I think. I actually just recently read the Sawamura vs Mashiba fight. Holy crap was that fight brilliant. I liked the Ippo vs Sawamura fight more, but vs Mashiba was freakin' terrifying. How does Kumi deal with a brother that *bleep*ing crazy? They really beat each other bloody.

The Wally fight, the more I read up to it, the more it brings me down. I want Ippo to be the World Champ, and all of Coach Kamogawa's talk afterward made it seem like Ippo couldn't beat Wally a second time even with all his hard work. Dammit how is Ippo supposed to go out and beat Ricardo Martinez someday if he can't beat some twat genius from Indonesia?

But Mashiba did kind of contribute to ending Sawamura's career. He gave him the concussion that led to his accident.

But yeah Ippo vs Sawamura was better. If Sawamura hadn't been so crazy Ippo would definitely have lost.

Welcome Valinrace. In all honesty, they probably won't. Maybe some OVAs will be released in the future, but the series is past its prime for new anime releases. It's uncommon for studios to pick up old anime and start them up again. Not unheard of, but just generally not done. Anime are typically money-losing endeavors on their own-- they're made to increase sales of the manga. Now that this manga is so long-running they really have an established base and would experience diminished returns if they continued the anime. It wouldn't be worth the costs.
