General Thoughts On The Game

I went out and bought Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood just a few hours ago and after just a few minutes in story mode and about 3 games online i must say i quite like it


I would warn some people though that this game is not for everyone. (Online i'm talking about.) There's no music, and you cannot play your own, and with just simple, basic weapons like a revolver or rifle, it can be extremely quiet. And sometimes it might be a little frustrating, as the sprint isnt very fast, and sometimes you will be clocked so suddenly due to the 1 or 2 shots to kill - and you don't have a clue where from.


Personally i love a bit of tactics so i am enjoying the quietness of it. The cover system i think is quite cool and allows you to take cover behind objects like barrels and at the same time move your head to look over it or around it, pointing your gun around it at the same time.


I think the Western theme is different and quite cool. The graphics i think can be really good, and the player movement feels rather easy to control like Call of Duty..... or Resistance more like, actually. I thought the general feel, and look of the game, and the lack of music reminded me a little of Resistance: Fall of Man, but i'm not too sure why lol.


Loving how easy it is to actually kill your enemy....i hate games where it takes forever to bring someone down and its so easy for them to get away in the meantime. But on this, even with a revolver, 2 shots max i think and you will bring your enemy down. The game encourages you to take a little more time when aiming to kill instantly with a headshot and this isnt as hard as it may sound, so a lot of the time it is really 1 shot to kill and this is something i really like.


So far online i've only played the "Posse" (team deathmatch) mode so far and i'm looking forward to playing the others like "Wanted"
And i think so far i've only tried just 2 maps online, both of which seemed similar in the way that they were both extremely typical of a Western town. Though i have seen a different map on a YouTube video that is more like a woodland area and a lake, which i would like.


The only few things i dont like about the game is:
- You can't go prone - ok, a little harsh because the cover system is really good, but i like to at least be able to go prone in every game, and have more freedom.
- Variety with weapons - I like just the revolver, rifle, sniper etc and but i'm sure it would have been better to include a little variety...maybe another 1 or 2 types of each weapon, and so far i'm only aware of the dynamite to use other than guns, but i'm hoping you can unlock something else.
- No melee attack? Surely you should be able to use a knife or crack someone across the head with your gun.


So these are my thoughts on the game so far, i may very well have some more thoughts after some more games but so far i quite like it and i think it's a pretty cool game.
What are your thoughts on the game?

I think that will be because of lag. Some sort of weird blue and red logo comes up sometimes and i think its something to do with the connection, and you pause for a second or two. It's very rare though i find.


Been playing it quite a lot now and i do really like it. The "Wanted" or "Manhunt" modes are quite cool but sometimes i really wish there was music.... or even just other sound effects from the surroundings to make the game feel more active and busy with more action.

Its good, a nice game to get some trophies on. Doesnt seem to be that popular though.
