re: Folder Ratings IV

I'd recommed the 2xHero Folder (check the game guides) as one of your folders and appernite folder or famous folder as your extra folder and your seconde folder a testing folder (to think up new folders or to keep your old folders that you like)
Steelrunner

I decided since no one was rating my folder (in the white forum) I decided to post it here as well
Anyhow here a deck my friend Ironwill75 built
I call it Rain of Death
Airshot3 * (1x)
Sensor2 S (1x)
Metagel2 S (1x)
Metagel3 S (4x) (one is the the Regular)
Rook * (1x)
Mine * (1x)
Rockcube * (3x)
Invis * (3x)
Mole1 * (2x)
Aura S (1x)
NrthWind S (1x)
GrassStg * (1x)
AntiDmg S (1x)
Fire+30 * (4x)
Meteors R (1x)
GodStone S (1x)
FullCust * (1x)
Atk+30 * (1x)
FoldrBak * (1x) (for white Plasma3 S)

This is an amazing deck, I felt it wraith as Ironwill75 decimated me...since he doesn't post anymore I decided to post for him...

This deck uses two combos in a row to 'meteor' the opponent...you basically 'steal' the rows of the opponent until they are arealocked then blast 'em...I had other ideas for chip though...and I decided to 'change' the deck slightly...

This deck is not built to fight viruses...end of story...tried against some high level viruses and got blasted out of the water...BUT it is one of the most irrating decks I've ever battled agaisnt

I decieced as well that the "BEST" style for this deck is Custom...but do whatever you like.

For the main stragety of the deck is easy. Stall and/or Arealock, fire meteor or godstone combo...

re: Folder Ratings IV

I think it very different than the Roll Meteors...although it does have a concept from the Roll Meteors. One it using a different code S not R, two arealocking stragety. Typical though...it is quite a strong deck try it sometime.

well I restarted and I'm only at the Plantman scenario, so can somebody come up with a decent folder to build while ingame?

re: Folder Ratings IV

Have you heard of the gutsimpact folder (Gutmans V1 to Gutman V3) + (3x) dash g + (3x) Guard *...plus a bunch of G or * chips...basically you stall for time until you get Gutman Program Advance which does "I think" 300 or 500 damage but I don't remember which...but in any case it will work

300 damage. It used to do 400 damage back in EXE 2, but Capcom doesn't know how to keep good things working like they should throughout the series and weakened it to 300 damage, just like they got rid of LifeSwrd2 and LifeSwrd3. I loved those Advances, along with Gater.

re: Folder Ratings IV

I don't really know the PA from Battle Network 2 'cause I only borrowed it from a friend...who couldn't beat the game. I remember Gater though one of my favorite advances. But how would they move it to Battle Network 3 without Gateman?

re: Folder Ratings IV

They couldn't. When they gave Famous a new Navi, Capcom eliminated the possibility of Gater-based folders.

re: Folder Ratings IV

Gah, here is a folder just built to fight viruses. The reason I say that is the chips will always go for the same general area. Not strong in netbattle, but just with some practive can do viruses ok.

Target Aquired

3 Rook *
4 Magnum 3 S
4 Random Meteor S
3 Shot Meteor S
4 Sensor 2 S
4 Meta gel 3 S
2 Area Grab *
1 Fastguage *
3 Shadow *
1 Fullcust *
1 Folderback *

re: Folder Ratings IV

A very good stragety indeed...and stop where you are this is a good folder for netbattling. You arealock the opponent and blast them with the Meteors or sensor. I think though you should switch the rooks with invis...9/10

re: Folder Ratings IV

Invis isn't needed, Steelrunner. The only people that really use sword-based folders from my experience are people entirely new to the game, so Shadow does just as good a job.

As for the folder, you're right; it isn't good for netbattling. It's not that great for in-game battles either, unless you use it solely for virus busting, since some navis move around quite a bit and are hard to area lock. Your only real damage comes from Magnums, Meteors, and Sensor2, and once you blow all those, you're stuck waiting for FoldrBak; regardless of where you use the folder. 1/10.

Fire+30 * (4x)
Meteors R (1x)
GodStone S (1x)
FullCust * (1x)
Atk+30 * (1x)
FoldrBak * (1x) (for white Plasma3 S)
It's painfully obvious with this folder that you don't know how to use either Meteoric Hell or MomQuake to their maximum potential. Never mix strategies unless you know for sure what you're doing. 2/10

re: Folder Ratings IV

Question...I read the folder building guide and read the hall of fame folders. But how do you make a good folder? I have tried to build folders that could at least score a 7 and haven't found any secrets to building one with an original idea...how else can I improve on folder building

re: Folder Ratings IV

It's the inspiration part that's got me. I just haven't found a good chip yet that doesn't already have 3 folders based on it.
