Same problem (iPhone version)

at tha top is x with iv underneath then touch the slide bar, next xx at the top with v11 underneath then touch the slide bar, next is v1 at the top with lxxx two spaces to the left then touch the slide bar, next is lxxx at the top with 111 two spaces to the right, i still havent cracked all the code ,but i hope this get,s you started

Got it (iPhone) just follow the order of the numbers in the diary. So after xxvii you have to get vi on top. This means the top ring has to be empty. keep going with all the numbers and after the last number xxv it will open.

I was struggling with this too! Figured out that like someone else here has said, it doesn't matter which direction u turn the wheel. And the hint that says 27 doesn't work and to add them up is rubbish. Just input the roman numerals in order from the diary pressing the slide button after each one. Make sure u remember them properly as I entered the wrong one right at the end and u have to start all over again!!

So simple once u know how and I was a bit annoyed at their stupid hints!!

There's two buttons on either side to spin each ring, then there is another button with a down arrow on the right hand side. (If I remember right!). That's the slide button. If you are doing it correctly George with say the numbers each time. This puzzle is really close to the end so u will be able to complete it once u do this! x
