My rant to both the haters and supporters of MW2.

I think I've made it pretty clear my thoughts on MW2 in the past: Yeah, it annoys me but I think we're pretty alright. When I have fun I carry on playing, when I get angry I stop. I'm no where near saying I'm the perfect MW2 player - I accept that I suck, but I have my pretty good games (17-0 on Sub Base this morning ). But this forum has been bugging me for ages, so here's my 'views' on most of it.

Firstly, the haters of MW2.

I appreciate that you've all spent (possibly hard-earned) money on MW2, you had all anticipated this game for months and you were all slightly let down by the final product. That's fine, you're free to make your own conclusions about a game. But you know what really pisses me off? When one of you goes on a rant about how 'MW2 SUCKS OMG IT'S NOOOBZONE' and then, two days later, you make another rant. Why the *bleep* are you still playing if it annoys you so much? I accept that you might not be able to afford a new game (if you can, 'better' multiplayer games: Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2 - all round good games: Fallout 3 & Mass Effect 2) but are you really that sad that you still play the game and complain about it afterwards? Not only is that hypocritical, it's ridiculously stupid.

I can understand if you're getting annoyed at the game. Yeah, I get annoyed at it too. But the fact that most of you see playing the game as a chore, rather than fun? That's just sad. Like I said, if you're really finding it feeling like work to play, play one of the other several million great games currently available. However, if you're complaining about it, then two hours later playing it some more, that's borderline obsessive, and you can stfu. Yeah, you want to play the game you spent money on, but don't cry about it and then two hours later, come crying about something different. You've made your feelings clear, kindly either stfu and play the game or sell it and find something better to do with your time.

Right, the supporters.

I can't really tear into you guys that much, since I'm one of the supporters of the game. It's just three things:

1: Yeah, the game is slightly broken and unbalanced. You can't lie and say it's not, because it is - but it's not broken beyond repair.

2: You want to protect Infinity Ward from abuse - yeah, that's fine. It's not all IW's fault. They only had a limited amount of time to make the multiplayer, but it's still their multiplayer. They're not entirely unresponsible for it.

3: Likewise you might want to protect Activision. My response...why would you want to do such a thing? Activision suck. They're easily the most greedy, selfish and downright, uh, 'evil' (for lack of a better word) companies currently around.

My 'advice' goes mainly to the Haters selection, but I just wanted to make my feelings clear.

So basically: Haters: If you hate the game so much, stop playing it. Supporters: Support the companies/devs if you want, that's good - just don't do it to a point of fanboyism and for god's sake don't do it if you don't know what's really happening.

I'm not trying to come across as the person who is 'right' with my opinion. If you think it's bad, that's your opinion, I can't change that - but you can't flat out claim that 'THE GAME IS BAD' or 'THE GAME IS AMAZING.' It's good (most reviewers will agree) but it is broken.

Thanks for reading and try not to get too worked up about it - it's just things that have irritated me.

I know I may complain about the glitches a lot but I still agree with what you are saying 100%

The bloke above me has some good points and I guess he will never play MW2 again because I don't see IW trying to fix this game

I have played COD4 for over 5 days, and COD5 for over 16 days. I have never seen ANY glitches on 4 and only the odd elevator on 5. This was all fixed by the first couple of months. I look at this game and still glitches persist after 6 months. Given, you cant stop every exploit but I can't remember any of the major glitches being sorted. IW said they would "tweak" the OMA. Everyone assumed that they would be fixing the unlimited noobtubes but alas, they didn't. They have released some patches but the main fundamental issues of the game still exist.

I do realise that all companies are out to make profit but if you don't make a public beta and your game sucks, you reputation will be destroyed. And any sales of future games will reflect this. On the other hand, if you do release a beta, your game might still be bad, but you can make the changes pre-release to solve it. Thus making your game better and people will support that developer for making a good game.

I had high hopes for this game, but it just turned into a noobfest for people to take advantage of failing before the games release to address these problems that could have been so easily solved.

I don't really think IW/Activision/Treyarch will really care if their reputation is destroyed - considering their games will sell millions regardless. If you make a bad beta, as I said, you've pretty much killed a chunk of profit from people who didn't like it. Demo's are usually best for companies who will make some profit, but are looking to make more.

As I said - playing games like COD4 or COD5 when they were the most popular on LIVE, you find all sorts of problems. I remember Juggernaut/MP40 fiasco, and the glitches you have stated - since they're not as popular anymore, they can't be used as an excuse.

Since MW2 was easily the most anticipated game of last year, there's more glitches or exploits - people trying to win using any way possible.

Again, the problem is in the people playing rather than the devs - sure, it's got problems but the problems would not be as massive had 75% of this games fanbase not have been either eleven years old or a dick.

They can't really fix it as there is no reason - they've made a profit, and they're currently involved in the IW vs. Activision debacle. They can fix it, but why do they need to? It's not the right thing, but it's the easiest thing.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Meaning the glitches, hackers, boosters, grenade launchers, thermal scopes and the like.

Some weapons are easy to pick up and use, while others are hard to master. People tend to call those weapons overpowered since those are the guns they get killed by the most.

Name one weapon that is overpowered, and destroys the game. There is none. Sure, the UMP45 is a 'beast' like many say. That's an example of a weapon that's easy to pick up. But a lot of people, on the other hand, can rip the enemy to shreds with the Vector, for example.

About the glitchers and hackers, I'm sure they're there, after watching too many posts about them. I can't really say anything about it, because I have never encountered any. It might be because I only play Team Deatchmatch on the PS3, but it sure as hell can't be that bad.

Don't know about boosters either. Shouldn't be too much of a problem though. My guess is that's they're easier to pick off than 'noob-tubers'.

Speaking of noob-tubers, what's the big deal? Sure it's annoying to be killed in a relatively easy way, I had the same problem when I still used an Assault class. But seriously, how hard is it to counter these guys? All they do is use their grenade launchers.

They're way too focused to switch to their primary fire, from what I've seen. Especially if they use OMA, they're vulnerable. Most of these guys suck anyway. If you're so bad at the game that you're constantly getting killed by them, you might just as well have been killed by bullets. It wouldn't make a difference.

I can see it now: "Alright, I've been killed 5 consecutive times by a rifle grenade, it's time to show who's boss. Now I just have to follow the same path which exposes me to every single enemy, and just pray the guy misses me. I've got you now, you b---". I can imagine people get pissed about that. Well done.

Thermal scopes, here we go. "Overpowered, it's cheap, it's cheating, it's too easy, people glow up like a Christmas tree". The last part is true, but guess what? It has disadvantages too! Who would've thought? Listen to this:

- The framerate drops significantly when ADS. A pretty big deal as a sniper when every bullet counts

- The screen gets fuzzy grey. This makes it hard to distinguish your surroundings

- I heard it takes a bit longer to ADS and back again. Can't confirm it though. Sounds plausible

- As stupid as it sounds, it takes up an attachment slot. Without 'wasting' the 1st perk, this means no FMJ, which most snipers seem to prefer

- Despite what people say, it's relatively difficult to spot Cold-Blooded users, especially in a map like Wasteland

By the way, if you keep getting your ass kicked by 'thermal snipers', the problem lies with you. You're likely a horrible player. If you keep walking in the sniper's sights, you might as well be getting killed by a 'regular sniper'.

And yes, the enemy glows white-hot and is easy to see, but take a look at the disadvantages as well for a change. Here's another helpful tip: Use Cold-Blooded. It's by far the best perk in the game anyway. In my humble opinion, ofcourse.

I'm gonna take issue with this, the people who use noob tubes are bad at this game but they are good enough to fire them straight at you if they see you, there is no counter, bang and you're dead, simple as that. When you need 3 or 4 bullets to kill someone then you haven't got a chance

Don't get me wrong, though. I agree with the fact that you can't counter a grenade flying towards you, and it's cheap.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear.

I'm saying that if you're constantly getting killed by them, you're doing something wrong.
If you're a good player, there is no way you can't deal with them effectively. They're not invincible.

I imagine a lot of people hate to use another class, just for dealing with noob-tubers. I see the point there.
I wouldn't want to use a class solely based on countering a single thing. But atleast adapt to the situations.

That's why I never had any problems with them (Well, after 2 weeks of playing or so).
Sure, I get killed occasionally by them, but not systematically. And certainly not enough to complain about.

WTF!

I can be anywhere, out in the open, in a building etc and get hit by them anywhere, how am I doing something wrong?

If someone is firing them off nonstop and you are getting killed constantly no matter where you go how is that your problem?
