Stinger missiles usually solve all my aerial problems!

Stinger missiles blow shit up, so I recommend those, Riot Shields if you are pinned down, and basically hide behind stuff or inside buildings.

Make your secondary weapon a Stinger and you never have to worry about your opponent's killstreak rewards again.

Since starting the game, I've noticed that killstreak awards like Harrier strike and chopper attacks can be a real pain in the ass sometimes. What's the best way to counter one of these, apart from just staying under cover for the duration of the attack? It can be annoying when a player doesn't even have to do anything to get around 5 extra kills from a harrier, and you're the one paying for it.

Launchers one hit kill all that shit really quickly

I've tried using my Thumper to knock out aerials. Not much luck there, I'm afraid. Yes, you can hit one if you get lucky. No, it usually wont do enough damage to take it out.

In other words, don't waste a good grenade shot. If you want to waste one, at least aim in the direction of gun fire. You got better odds on a lucky shot doing that than trying to hit a heli or harrier with one.

I'm waiting for the YouTube video of somebody using the throwing knife against a Harrier or helicopter and taking it down that way. It's probably not even possible, but it'd be funny as hell if it was.

Hah, I use a stinger most of the time for such killstreaks, only downside is, I sometimes get shot before I shoot the rocket. Also, the helicopter/harriers, especially the pavelow, seem to dodge/drop flares, so the 2nd rocket is required. Pavelow usually always needs two unless you're right under it when shooting
