	quote The Russians are angry. Apparently, they did not like how the controversial airport massacre level in Activision's blockbuster game was named the "No Russian" mission. To express their anger, they have ordered the recall of all the console versions of Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) from their store shelves. The said level has got the Russian gaming public in an uproar, along with a number of their politicians. They raised protest over how the Russian armed forces were depicted as a bunch of terrorists who came and invaded the United States, and putting up statues of dead terrorists all over Washington D.C. Other Russian websites, such as GotPS3, criticized the game for supposedly harboring a dominant preference towards the American culture, and in the process disregarding other cultures, particularly theirs. For their part, Infinity Ward has since released an official patch for the PC and Steam versions. This patch takes out the said level completely from the game. Activision has also submitted a censored version to the Russian government, with the "No Russian" level also taken out. If it is approved, gamers can go back to enjoying the sound of gunfire on their consoles in less than a month. Besides that game is not making the Russians look bad, it is terrorist who are trying to start a war between Russia and the US. I personally found the mission unnecessarily drawn-out, but its still only a game. Your thoughts? 	Fair enough. If I was Russian I'd be pissed off with the content of that mission and the way Russians are portrayed in the game.

	(in the game) they responded the way any country would... They believed America was attacking them, so they attacked us. That is not a negative view of Russia. There are terrorists everywhere, why do they think the terrorists represent Russia as a whole? America, UK would never ban a game because we are the biggest customers in the gaming world. We would probably realize it is just a game and get on with our lives. -------------------

	You gotta take some things in stride. I wasn't insulted when playing resident evil 5 and controlling some white dude blowing the knee caps off of black men and women (being black myself) games are art and different perspectives are taken into place during interpretation of art. Tbh I didn't think the mission was tasteless as it was a nice way of throwing together a major plot point. I can understand that people find it offensive as its obviously a shock value oriented mission but it happens. 	Just a couple of points, yes the russians have a fair reason to be angry but this isnt a deliberate attempt to aggravate them. for starters the name "No Russian" is merely the thing Makarov said to his fellow terrorists to pose as american besides invading a country for slaughtering a bunch of defenceless civilians that belonged to your nation isnt excactly an overreaction besides i dont think russia never liked america anyway.... and if anyone asks im not american
