I didn't know if there was a general spec ops thread anywhere, so if there is, feel free to close this one.

So how's everyone doing on it? Anyone got 3 stars on everything yet? Finding it hard? Discuss.

Oh. I currently have 52 stars, some of them are just so tough.

edit: ihave 21 stars i got the achievement to unlock 3 stars in 5 missions

I'm currently trying to do Evasion on Hardened. I can get past the first patrol, past the three guys talking and take out the 2 guys. I then take out the dog and enemy. Then I'm stuck on the part where another patrol passes. I take out the straggler as the rest (2 guys, two dogs) go up the hill. Then one group (dog and man) go down the embankment and wait there, while the other two wait at the hill. There's another 5 people not far, and I'm stuck there.

Bad description, I know, but if you play through it again you'll get the gist of it.

Any tips?

The last 2 are absolutely mental..

I've got 32 stars. Some of them are hard and some of them are just simple. I hate "Hidden" how they just pop out of no-where from the grass.

I'm at the same situation as you oRiginal. I can easily take out every enemy until that point. I've tried it a few different ways. Lately I've been picking up an AK47 with the grenade launcher. Kill the first 13 enemies and you should have 3 grenades to launch. Then you're at the 3 enemies and 2 dogs patrol part. I kill the straggler. Then I go up the hill and kill the guy and the dog. Then I go back down and snipe the other guy and the dog. Careful sniping the one on the bottom though, as if your sniper bullet kills one of them it passes through and might alarm the others farther away so snipe so that your bullet never passes near by the other guys.

Now you're at the part where there's a group of 2 and another group of 2 and a dog. There's no way to do this part stealthily. The 2 ways I've tried this is sneak behind the group of 2 guys and a dog. It might seem impossible as you're only feet away from them but I was able to by crawling past behind them prone. I go all the way to the rock which you'll find there. Now you can use your flashbang and grenade launcher to take them all out or you can do the same thing from next to that pipe thing behind the other group.

There's 25 enemies total in the level (not including the dog that spawns from way back in the level if you alarm someone during the first 18 guys).

I've been able to do this multiple times on Hardened but never on Veteran as something always goes wrong.

The Spec Ops mission that I can't beat no matter how many times I try is the other Snow Stealth mission. I think it's called Acceptable Losses.

Basically crawl to the finish and play with some else online so you can communicate. Took Tommo and me 11 minutes to do this together but i believe the majority of the guard can't see you if you crawl.

Is evasion that first level with the sniper in the woods full of snow.

well if it is this is how i did i on the 3 star level.

Start off 4 guys walk towards you, take out the last guy and then wait for the 3 guys to walk by and then they'll be stood down the bottom looking dopey easy enough to kill.

abit further up theres a dog and a guy wait till they walk past the 3 dumbos and then kill the dog and then the guy, then kill all 3 guys.

abit further up two guys are stood talking, take them out, then abit futher up is two guys stood talking and before them is a dog and a guy take the two guys out first then the guy and the dog.

then further up is like a bunch of guys with dogs let the first dog and guy walk off then kill all the back guys trailing away.

follow the guy and dog and they'll be near two other guys, the guy and dog will cut down go through the overgrowth part to the bottom and kill the guy and dog here.

now you'll be faced with two guys and behind them two guys and a dog, kill the two guys and the dog first, then kill the two guys stood nearer you.

then abit further is another two guys i think, take them out.

then slide down a banking onto that red mist or was it green, and you've got 3 stars.

I have Delta and Echo to knock out.

Got three out of five on Vet on Delta...those other two are hard as heck.

The only other two I just have to wait til I get online to do it with someone else.

got 26, and 6 "3 star missions". I advise everyone to do most of them with a buddy, makes them a hell of a lot easier. However do the stealth ones on your own, less chance of getting spotted that way. I'm up to Delta, Real tough, makes up for the "easy" veteran campaign
