So i just got done having a marathon single player session on 360, had a few hours break and decided to try MP, when i turned my xbox on, i got the dreaded OPEN TRAY error. I was literally on the verge of horrible tears, it didn't reconize any of my games. I looked on the net and it seems many peoples Xboxes are cacking out right when they first started playing MW2, So i tried every trick in the book, vaccuming the vents, tapping the xbox while it loads, everything. I got so angry at it for picking such a good time to cack out that i started punching the side of the xbox very hard.
Of course i hoped brute force might have worked. But alas still no game. Then i decide to go through my HDD and see what games i had installed to play when i noticed a trailer video with a ! mark next to it. I deleted it, and decided to give CoD another go, and to me utter shock, it started reading the discs again. WTF? Is it even possible a corrupted download trailer caused the drives to stop reading the discs? Anyway, thats my story, i'm just so relieved i don't have to buy a new box (for now xD) TL;DRL Xbox died, tried everything, hit it tons, nothing worked. Deleted a half downloaded trailer, started working again. wierd shit. YAY -------------------  | |

Just out of curiosity, what video trailer were you downloading that caused it ?

I think it was one for the recent nazi zombies on WaW. I really can't tell if that solved it or if everything suddenly just started working at the right time. I really would have throw it out the window if it failed me after waiting for so long xD

I think some kind of corrupted trailer would be more likely to cause that problem than it just miraculously starting to work again for no other apparent reason.
