Any Vets?

I just finished it on Veteran. Finished it at 10:30 after starting it at 5:30, and taking two food breaks in the middle. It was well easier than I thought it would be.

Anyone else a Vet?

Whatt? How hard was veteran? And what was the hardest misson? Seems easy if you can do it in 5 hours

re: Any Vets?

I'm doing it on Veteran. I'm about halfway through act 2.

The hardest mission for me was the one in the Favela.

I found it really easy to be honest. There were no hard missions, only hard parts in some of the missions. Like the part where you have to use the thermal scope on the oil rig in the smoke fire fight or the section in the last mission where you face the team sweeping the caves with price. I died a few times on each part, but the simple fact that I got through the entire game in less than 5 hours pretty much tells you how hard it is. =P

The Favela is a bit tricky, but I found it easy enough because I remembered all the tricky bits because I only did it yesterday on Hardened. ;P

So am I Neo's first Vet? D:

re: Any Vets?

Well, I just started doing a veteran run on the campaign after finishing the game first on regular and then playing some spec ops on veteran (which is quite fun, and easy) so yeah...

re: Any Vets?

The general consensus that I've seen seems to be that this game is a lot easier on Veteran when compared to the earlier games in the series. I think it has something to do with Infinity Ward fixing the infinitely spawning enemies and abundance of random grenades.

Exactly.

But it makes it more of just challenging in gameplay...as opposed to trying to overcome broken gameplay.

re: Any Vets?

I always go for the hardest difficulty in every game and I started this game on Veteran as well.

I'd like to say that I find it easy and simple. I'm not frustrated at all when I die. I've played more Spec Ops than anything though and Spec Ops is definitely harder than the Single Player itself.

In Spec Ops I find that you have to play really skillfully more of the time than you do in Campaign. I'm a little skeptical to say this but I personally don't bother with lower difficulty settings.

Go play the game on Veteran!

Something different in this game compared to the other ones in this series is that enemies don't infinitely continue spawning until you reach a certain checkpoint. Here's a tip for you. Kill enemies until you feel comfortable moving out into the open and onto the next section.

I'm going to start Veteran tonight, I did a run through on regular just for the first time. I could imagine the level on Favela being a complete pain in the ass, I died a couple of times on regular.

re: Any Vets?

I'd have to agree that the spawning and grenade fixes made it a lot easier. The constant enemy spawning is what made me get pissed off with Vet on CoD4 on the first level. I never got any further because it just completely irritated me. Part of the reason I was so surprised this was so easy. D:

Shit man, I can't play the single player for more than like 20 minutes and I get the jones for multiplayer again. I started on Hardened, I'll eventually get through Veteran, but it's definitely going to be a day my internet is down or something.
