re: Suggestion Box |
quote Blue eyes dragondenied invader of the throne Reason: It requires it to be a flip effect not in battle. The chances of you not getting attacked are slim. While the effect is powerful you probably won't get to use it very often (without the aid of Swords of Revealing Light. Mystical Space Typhoon Denied. REason. Mystical Space Typhoon has the ability to delete one magic or trap card but it doesn't negate the action. In other words, if player A plays Raigeki, and Player B plays Mystical Space Typhoon as a response to Raigeki both are destroyed but Raigeki still has its effect. This card is good for getting rid of Continuous magic/trap, set magic/trap, Field, and equipment cards. Harpie's Feather Duster Yes is restricted but that is normal restrictions. Giant Trunade is restricted to 2 per but that is normal too.

Well I have mixed feelings about this. We aren't in official tournament mode meaning we won't have the same exact rules. However having Japanese cards in your deck allows for marking of the cards. If you have all Japanese cards then it is no different from playing with english cards other than you will need the exact translations before you can play. Which means that if you use Japanese Translations then I will have to post a list of Japanese cards and their acceptable translations. (or english version cards.)

I'd like to suggest that this forum cut down on closing threads that deal with individual issues. I can certainly understand wanting to keep the number of threads low, but moving every question to general help and every discussion to general discussion makes it really hard to find what you're looking for. Perhaps it would be possible to make General Discussion and General Help sub folders full of threads instead of two huge long threads? It would certainly make searching for information a lot easier. Thanks.

re: Suggestion Box |
quote XanthAllright first things first. I will let Japanese cards to be played if they are in EDS. I won't allow Forbidden Memories and Dark Duel Stories because I have no way to confirm their effects if they have them. EDS Japanese cards are allowed. And like I said, I am still debating on allowing Japanese cards in people's decks for the card marking purposes. But I have decided to allow it because if they are going to cheat via card marking then they might as well cheat all the way with a face up deck and picking whatever cards they draw. I can't check cheating other than gameplay so the Honor System will hold everyone or no one. And as for closing threads. I am going to continue to close threads that repeat already stated topics or generate a one post response. There is no reason to create an entire thread for a question that has a one sentence (or even one word) answer. I am going to allow discussions to continue outside the general discussion thread but some are too ambiguous to be worthy of an entire thread. I will try to be a little more frugal when handing out "Closing Signs" but you have to understand that I am still going to close unnecessary threads.

Hmm I don't know. I think I have seen it restricted somewhere. But all you have to do is get rid of Umi via Mystical Space Typhoon, any other Field Card, Harpie's Feather Duster, Giant Trunade, Traps that get rid of field magic cards or whatever else.

Here is a suggestion for discussion. What do you guys think about having a Record for Online Duels? I mean So far there are only a few duelists but I think it will grow once people get used to the system and actually have the time to participate.
