Project igi very slow unplayable!

Hi! basically i have a machine that is more than capable of running igi at high res, yet it won't.

What i mean is, i run it at 640x480x16 and details turned right down, and i get a framerate of around about 1 or 2. thats one or two. its unplayable! My system is athlon 1.333ghz (OC'D to 1.5ghz) 256mb ddr, vivid!xs kyro2 32mb graphics card and audigy soundcard. Why can't my computer run project igi? I have up to date drivers for all of above, and directx aswell as latest via 4in1 drivers and up to date bios, graphcs card bios and moniter drivers. I don't understand why i cant run project igi when i can run far more demanding games like jedi knight 2 quake 3 etc etc

Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem.
The only change is that It is IGI 2 Covert Strike which is having the problem.
With me, IGI works in maximum detail (1200*800) without any problems.
The only change I have is that I have a 512mb RAM

i have all the requirements fulfilled,yet it doesnt run smoothly..mouse is so slow...initially the movement is ok but when kept on playing for 2 minutes it again slows down and becomes unplayable???what should i do??

=i have solution for those guyz who are unable to run igi2......just go to desktop properties then appearance..then change the windows xp style into classical style.........after that click on desktop tab..and choose none background...because they take high visual rate.....then if you have any kindda anti-virus then disable it.
