It's been known for a while that Mai won't be a part of the roster. However, they are considering possible DLC releases and Mai would almost certainly be one of the characters if they go along with it.

So what do you think of this move? If they will have her featured as DLC, they'll definitely get their money's worth, but at the same time I still can't believe that they actually did this to Mai, of all characters. Imo she's as popular as Kyo or Iori and she's kind of like their female mascot.

It's pretty obvious that they just did it as a way to bleed fanboys dry in the DLC stages. Expect all big-name games to follow suit, withholding major players for the DLC market.

There's absolutely no reason at all why Mai would be excluded while shitty characters that nobody plays with ever are included.

Yeah, I'm just a little surprised that they actually cut her out. I was taken aback when I first heard of it. I kind of wish that people don't buy her DLC (if released) and send out a message to Ignition to now pull this stunt in the future.

By the way, Ignition is the publisher of the game not the maker. The company to blame is SNKP. Now, I'm not sure if this was done so that fans will need to pay for DLC or if SNKP didn't allocate enough resources to finish the game in time. They seem to be content with selling in Japan only.... at least that's what it seemed like to me. Look at this current problem with the netcode and online gaming. In Japan it's fine. Everywhere else.....that's another story. If SNKP doesn't change its tune, they will always be left behind by the competition.

People only like Mai for one reason. Her bow-chika-bow-wow. Her lack of clothing, her melons..etc...She's pure fan-service. That aside, she would've been a welcome addition, due to the small amount of females this game has..I personally would've loved if King were on this game. I was mad good with her back on the other KOF games.
