AC: City Folk Wi-Fi Events & Friend Codes Forum Rules
Hey, and welcome to the Animal Crossing: City Folk Forum. We are a strong community who loves Animal Crossing! Please introduce yourself
here! Please read all these rules before posting, as they will benefit you in the long run. Please read the
Forumwide Rules of Conduct, Etiquette And Acceptable Behavior before posting as well.
SpammingDon't spam the forums. Spam is the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unneeded messages on the forums. Generally, when you spam, you add messages to the threads that are unnecessary and add no discussion value whatsoever. "Ok", "Yeah", and "lol" are all examples of spam. Try to add some substance to your post before you submit it.
Some examples of spam are -
1. Smilie Posts
2. Off-topic posts
3. Flooding the forum
4. One word messages
Flooding Flooding the forum is the process of excessively posting everywhere in the forum. This happens when members try to get in the top forum poster list, want to see there name all over the forum, or to raise your post count. Give your peers a chance to participate in the forum! When you flood, your posts are likely to be spam which is strongly discouraged. This forum is a community and other people like to participate and discuss things too, so always keep that in mind.
1. Please take notice that this doesn't mean that you aren't allowed to participate or you have a limited numbers of posts in the forum, just make sure they are actually contributing to the thread and you are not taking advantage of the forum threads.
FlamingFlaming is a hostile and insulting interaction between you and your fellow members. When you flame someone, you make them feel bad by insulting them, laughing at them, or just having a bad attitude with them for no reason. This forum has a younger audience, so watch what you say and think before you say it. This act will
NOT be tolerated and you will face the consequences for flaming.
Examples of flaming -
1. "I hate you!"
2. "Hey! You are such a loser that I can't stand you
"
AdvertisingDo not advertise your own forum, or your own site to attract people to it. Advertising is strictly forbidden on Neoseeker and will not be tolerated. Refrain from doing it in posts or via PM. If you are caught doing this, you will be reported.
1. If you want to advertise your site, you can do so by putting it in your Neoseeker profile or your signature.
2. Advertisements through images are not allowed, they may only be displayed through text.
3. Do not link to Outwar or any referral sites.
MemberatingMemberating is when you act like the moderator of the forum, an administrator, a wiki member, or any other rank that you truly are not. Do not, under any circumstances, every impersonate any other person on this site. Do not bully people, boss them around, make threats against them, or pretend to close threads. If a person is posting in the wrong place, politely redirect them to the correct forum and it will be taken care of. Be helpful and help them out!
Here is a member memberating -
WRONG
"You need to go to this thread and not make duplicates ever again. Check the Thread Index before making a new thread. Thread closed."
RIGHT
"Hi there, and welcome to Neoseeker! I suggest taking a look at this thread as it will answer your question. :)"
Game ThreadsIf you are thinking about starting up a game thread or something similar, be sure to get permission from the current forum moderator. The game needs to be approved and the moderator needs to make sure that it is appropriate for the forum and we need to check if the forum already has too many game threads. You can PM the current forum moderator and share your idea with them and they will either give you the okay or say that it is not needed right now.
1. A game thread will always have the caption 'Game Thread' under it to show that it has been approved.
2. Only a few game threads will be in the forum at a time. A forum filled with game threads does not mix well with other discussions.
Illegal SoftwareIllegal content such as ROMs, crack, or emulators are forbidden to talk about on Neoseeker. Doing so will reward you with a ban.
Follow these rules and you will have a great time here!
