	Log in to remove this sponsored message Zimbabwe National Team- The Start Of Something Special For some fans, the glimmer of hope of seeing their beloved country in the World Cup is fading. Even Zimbabwe's chances of getting into the African Nations Cup again is very slim. They qualified for the ANC for the first time in 2004 and then again the next year in 2006 but they failed to make any impact as they finished on 3 points in both competitions even though in the 2006 group stage they finished just 3 goals off qualifying for the Quarter-Finals. Going through this crisis wasn't easy on manager, Sunday Marimo decided that he would call an end to his Zimbabwe reign and this time it would be for good. Sunday guided the Warriors to their first African Cup Of Nations Tournament in 2004 and also for their second time in that thrilling 2006 tournament. Marimo will leave behind memories of a Manager and a Player as he leaves the African team. Immeadiatley after the announcement that Sunday Marimo would no longer manage Zimbabwe a new manager was appointed. Aaron Gabb will take over at the African team as he hopes to boost their chances of a World Cup Place. Gabb takes charge with only two games of their six qualifying games left, Gabb knows he has a hard task but he has stated that he is fully up for the challenge. 	Main Players Benjani Mwaruwari- Benjani will be the key player for Zimbabwe, they need to keep him fit and adjust the squad around him if they want any chance of being in another African Nations Cup or if they want to get into the World Cup. The Man City star is most famous for his goal against Manchester United as City did the double over on them during the 2007/2008 season. Benjani has scored nine goals in thirty five games for Zimbabwe and he looks like adding to that this year. Esrom Nyandoro- Esrom is a very talented player for Zimbabwe, the Midfielder can score goals from anywhere and his quick passing makes him even better. He was present at the 2006 ACN tournament where he bagged the "Goal Of The Tournament". Nyandoro had a trial at Sheffield United but the manager at the time, Niel Warnock decided not to take him aboard. Esrom has scored two times for Zimbabwe in the forty three appearances he has made for his country. Vuza Nyoni- Nyoni is one the youngest players to be included in Zimbabwe's International set-up even though he is 25. He is one of only a few players to be playing outside of Africa as he was snapped up by Cercle Brugge after impressing in Africa. He was almost made a Blackburn player but he choose the contract of the Belgium club as he thought he would get more 1st football. 	Zimbabwe vs Fiji Aaron Gabb's first match in charge was one to remember as they won against Fiji 2-1 at the Rufaro stadium. The hosts were first to score, albeit an own goal by attacking midfielder Cama Tukai headed the ball into the wrong net as a corner by Zimbabwe was whipped in. Fiji then pressed and had many shots on target but Energy Murambadoro was equal to the efforts that headed his way. After the break Fiji scored as Semesa scored on the counter attack as he put the scores level at one each. Gabb thought it was needed for a change and he brought on Esrom Nyandoro to see if he could change the game, and he did. Just before the 70th minute, Esrom broke through to put the Warriors back ahead. Zimbabwe saw out the whistle to claim their first victory under the reign of Aaron Gabb. 	Zimbabwe vs Guinea Aaron Gabb continued his 100% winning streak as he caused an upset against Guniea. Gabb's men took the lead early on as Ersom Nyandoro, who scored in the last match scored again as he volleyed home from close range. Zimbabwe kept pushing and were awarded with a second just before half time as Jo Ngwenya slotted home from close range. Zimbabwe quietened down as they were content with passing it about in midfield, but they later got a third as Honour Gombami, on his return to the squad headed off the bar and in, to make it a comfortable win form Zimbabwe.
