Which HM for newbie to start with?

	Log in to remove this sponsored message I had picked up Tales of two Cities for the 3DS before my deployment. It was the first game I ever played out of the Harvest Moon series and I enjoyed it but I have since lost it. Since I have an inexplicable interest in the series for some reason I was hoping to get back into it since I have so free time, So my question to you guys is which one I should grab to start me off? And secondarily which one is the best. PS: Game systems are not an issue as I own everything but the SNES and I can easily emulate that. ------------------- Rest in peace Neil Armstrong

	For a beginner to the series? Harvest Moon DS is pretty class, Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) as well. A Wonderful Life is good for dicking around in, and from what I hear, the Gameboy Color and N64 versions are really good as well. Rune Factory is Harvest Moon with fighting and such, so look into those as well. As for ones to avoid, Save the Homeland is a pretty big pile of boring and uneventfulness that you need to finish in under 1 game year, otherwise you lose. Yes, a Harvest Moon game where you can lose.

	Since originally posting this 3 weeks ago I have actually picked up Rune Factory. In the end I haven't done much fighting in the game as of yet. Lots of the same trappings as the harvest moon I played. My goal is harvest Moon DS next followed by my personal first one Tale of Two Cities. I have been Hearing near universal praise for Friends of Mineral Town and near universal panning of Save the Homeland. ------------------- Rest in peace Neil Armstrong

	I agree with Ditnopota, (More) Friends of Mineral Town was my personal favorite, closely followed by HM: DS. I haven't played much of the recent games but I can assure you that you should not waste your money on Save the Homeland haha. -------------------
