	Log in to remove this advertisement What is, in your opinion, the best Harvest Moon game so far? What options in the game do you find exciting? Does it have features other HM games don't? What was your least favourite game? Was it impossible to earn money? Could you not get that guy to marry you? Was the task/storyline horrible? 	The WORST game is Save the Homeland. It has a stupid storyline and a crappy task, and it's just bad. You can't even get MARRIED! IoH is a close second for worst, cause it's hard to make money and get a guy. MFoMT and HMDS Cute are the best games I've played so far. I can't really explain. 	I actually liked Save the Homeland, haha, it's what got me hooked on Harvest Moon, in fact. However, I only played it for a few hours (at a friend's), so maybe that makes a diffence. I liked how you could work for that other guy (cannot remember his name), and how you could dig things up in your fields where the crops grow. HMDS Cute is my favourite, for sure. I only own three myself (and have played four [Save the Homeland]). I've gotten the farthest in it, and I just find it the most interesting of the three. A Wonderful Life: Special Edition was very slow-going, and I didn't exactly know what I was doing. Maybe I should pick it up again. [It's my least favourite.] And Cute just seemed to have more to it than MFoMT - more bachelors, more mining, rescuing the sprites, etc. I still play Cute whenever I have the time. ------------------- Are you, are you coming to the tree Wear a necklace of rope, side by side with me. 	Save the Homeland was my first HM game, too, but I didn't like it. It was really hard, but mostly because I played it back when I was really little. X] Sorry if I was harsh. 	RF3, hands down. The cast is nice, and there's a bit of character development for each of them. Sharance is easily the most atmospheric town I've seen in the games. All the characters have a schedule; you can see them talking to other characters and doing professions you can also do daily. There was also a lot of goals to meet, like leveling up, refining your professions, taming monsters, and courting the girls. I love IoH, but I can understand its bad reviews. The controls were flimsy and killed the experience, the layout of the island was too big and empty, there wasn't much to work towards too...

	I think Innocent Life (PSP) gets really boring. You play as a robot boy and you can't even get married. Plus, things get repetitive often and there isn't much to do. I like the Rune Factory Series because the art is really good and it seems interesting because they added magic and battling to it. I don't have the any of the RF games yet, though. I had IoH for a while, but I didn't really like it that much. The controls were hard and most of the time, I had no idea what to do. I like HMDS and HMDS Cute too. The only problem was getting 60 Sprites for marriage and in the Cute Version, none of the bachelors really got me interested. In that game, I didn't have FoMT/MFoMT connection so no Mineral Town Boys, except for Kai who seemed to take too long to get his LP up. ------------------- "They laugh at me 'cause I am different I laugh at them 'cause they're all the same"

	Out of the game I've played (More Friends of Mineral Town, AWl, HMDS, HMDS Cute, Magical Melody, Rune Factory 1, 2 and Frontier, Island of Happiness, Animal Parade and Tree of Tranquility) I found HMDS Cute and Animal Parade to be my favourites. AP, because of the storyline, I found it quite interesting. Marriages also seemed to be a bit more heartfelt than most. And I liked HMDS Cute because it's the one I keep going back to, although I don't know why. To be honest, I liked IoH, I liked how hard it was to earn money, it made me work harder, but the time goes by too fast. ------------------- are you happy now? that she’s on the ground... and do you realize the words you say make bruises that don’t fade away...

	IoH was just okay. I like the character but controls took some getting used to and making money was a pain. It sort of seemed like the makers just threw tons of things into one island. The jungle seemed so out of place and so did the mountain. RF3 is one of my personal favorites although I'm still working on it. The one request a day thing is sort of annoying but I'm a-okay with it. I'll have more support for it's awesomeness once I actually finish it. Plus. Giant trees. -------------------

	The best Harvest Moon game up to date would have to be the A Wonderful Life/Another Wonderful Life series. In these games the protagonist faced the stages of life, something that has not been predominantly present throughout the franchise's career. The worst would have to be Island of Happiness. Big let down. :/

	For my personal favorite, it's a tie between Harvest Moon DS and Magical Melody. I love HMDS because there's so much to do, and it's easy to keep yourself occupied. It's a bit challenging if you don't use the billion G glitch (which I did, haha!) but I can still play it for hours at a time. As for HM:MM, I love how you can choose where to place your house, and how there's so much space for crops. MM is really similar to HMDS, with the whole Harvest Sprites dilemma, but it still feels a bit different, and I like the various choices between bachelor(ettes). Gahh! I really can't find an HM game that I've played and haven't liked (then again, I haven't played very many HM games). But if I had to choose, I guess it would be AWL and AnWL, BECAUSE I ALWAYS CORRUPT MY DATA SOMEHOW DURING THE LAST YEAR/CHAPTER!!! It pisses me off. But they're still the most nostalgic for me ------------------- The dirt whispered, "Child I'm coming home."

	I absolutely LOVED everything about A Wonderful Life. (Except for the fact that there really wasn't a lot to do once you bought everything, you couldn't increase friendships that much and you couldn't even sell fish...) But I absolutely think that's my favorite in the series. I loved the graphic style of it. It felt farmy and old-style, and some of the weather effects were amazing. (It'd get foggy and dark when there would be a rainstorm, I absolutely loved that) I love the hybridizing part of the game. When I discovered it, I was addicted to creating my own crops, I wish they'd somehow bring that back. I liked the different animals you could unlock to have at your house (Yes, there's more than just the cat and the dog, people) Marriage was too easy imo. I liked the inventory. I remember having about three screenfulls of stuff once my game ended, as well as a fridge with like 70-ish of each main fruit and the eggs and a lot of different types of dishes and hybrids as well. (Yes, I am a freak.)

	I didn't really like Sunshine Islands. I barely did any gameplay because I became so easily bored with it in the beginning. Most of the time, the beginning of a game is the most exciting part of it because everything is so fresh and you have quite a lot to do, but there was something about Sunshine Islands that didn't exactly click for me. My favorite? I really liked Magical Melody, Tree of Tranquility, and what Animal Parade is shaping out to be, but between those three I'm not sure which I liked most. I never actually played Save the Homeland, so I wouldn't be able to decide whether or not I liked it. :L ------------------- HM: The Tale of Two Towns \| HM 3D: A New Beginning
