Star Wars: The Old Republic 1.3 is on the way, and today's video with game director James Ohlen explains why BioWare has nicknamed the patch "Allies."
In the upcoming (still undated) patch, players will finally be able to tweak the LFG feature with a number of filters, which should help in narrowing down the search for players. Character transfers are finally being added, so if your server is on the verge of death, you'll soon be able to get the heck out and switch to a more populated alternative. After all, being the only person on a whole planet kind of defeats the whole MMO aspect.
Vanity outfits will also undergo some changes so players can actually wear them into combat situations, whether we're talking PvE or PvP. Refer to the above image of Jedi dressed as Tusken Raiders.
The Legacy system will be expanded as well, and BioWare Austin plans to continue developing this feature throughout 2012. Whatever they come up with, here's hoping it's much better than the 1.2 update.
The end of the video sees new concept art that teases future content, but Ohlen doesn't say anything about that.
