Spaceships

In KOTOR and KOTOR 2 we had the Ebon Hawk to transport us around the universe. Presumably we'll have our own ship to do the same in TOR but, obviously, we won't all be using the same ship.

It stands to reason, therefore, that we'll have the opportunity to 'acquire' our own vessel for transportation (and possibly combat) purposes. Much like in Star Wars Galaxies. If we are able to purchase our own ships then I wonder how much customisation we'll be able to do. will we simply buy a ship or will we be able to outfit it with better equipment?

I would definitely support being able to customise our ships but only if it served some sort of purpose. I'd prefer that we not have 'player housing' as such - I enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies up until they ruined it but I don't want to see random player cities and villages sprawled across the landscape. What if we were able to customise our ships to the same extent though and were able to invite party members aboard them? You could display trophies from kills and quests on your ship. Just a thought...

If you think about it, what makes Star Wars, Star Wars?

Vast, alien worlds, nonstop action and well, sleek starships.

Point being it'd be criminal not to have an acceptable amount of ships to not only chose from but to also customize the hell out of.

THAT would be the ideal Star Wars experiance in my opinion.
