Hilarious Display of the skill-less

This thread is to make everyone feel better about themselves knowing that the rest of us suck at this game just as bad.

Post the stupidest things you've done in this game.. granted if you want to pretend you're a badass and have never died, you are welcome to.

Mine:

I blue phantomed Latria on my third character.. and i told this person to follow and i headed for what, at the time, i thought to be the back way around the autogun ballista. i sprinted right into a hole.. and so did she..

re: Hilarious Display of the skill-less

I messed up Crystal Gecko hunting multiple times. Once for reason I was jacked of the gecko loot from 2-1 (you know the one with the Spiderstone drops... you know the stuff you need for Stick Compound Long Bow... you know, the thing I'm trying to upgrade!!!). Not sure why it happened, but examining the corpse didn't get me anything. I figured it was because my Item Burden was near limit, though wouldn't the game just have told you that you can't pick it up?

Well in any case, it's still worth bearing in mind not to go gecko hunting unless you have enough free room in your inventory! And you know what the sad thing was? I had the Ring of Herculean Strength in my inventory the whole time!!! I still have some 2-1 gecko respawns left (haven't beaten Flamelurker or Dragon God yet), but it's probably not enough to finish my bow without major scale miner farming (I'm one spiderstone chunk away from being able to upgrade to sticky +4).

But wait! There's even more!!! Letting the gecko in 4-1 escape. And accidentally kicking the corpse of one of the geckos in 2-2 off a cliff while approaching it. Walk, don't run to your prize unless you're in danger of dying from imminent attack (in which case you should get the loot as soon as you can, since you still keep all your goodies when you "die").

re: Hilarious Display of the skill-less

I think I've almost given up on Gecko Hunting for this play through.

I either forget they are there until I see them sticking their tongue out at me as they vanish, or have done a suicide run off a cliff or into an ambush trying to kill one.

re: Hilarious Display of the skill-less

Well one time I was invaded by a superior black phantom player and I tried to run back to the nexus gate only to find out you cant leave when invaded. Needless to say the guy slaughtered me and I sent him an ugly message. He replied with "It was funny the way you tried to run like a punk then I raped your face". That made me feel really good. So I did the obvious thing, swore alot hoping his PS would break or catch fire.

Ouch, you gotta put on your game face if there's a possibility of being caught into PVP, and in this game there's always that possibility unless you purposely play offline or stick with soul form! It's worth noting that the Evacuation miracle which you can learn for 20,000 souls from the Disciple also doesn't work the moment you are invaded. I learned this yesterday night when I finally got invaded (you never forget your first time!), though fortunately I managed to get my act together in time to meet the challenger.

Falling off the same ledge by the merchant in 3-1 three times in a row...

Seriously, you'd think i'd have learned the first time.

So I was told six times to be careful when assassinating Yurt. "Shep', don't attack him when he's near the ledge or he'll fall off" - what do I do? Backstab attack, kicked Yurt clear off the ledge. Surprisgly, his drop items spawn in mid air just over the ledge. Made a run for it - Yurt laughed all the way to hell. Game saved.

re: Hilarious Display of the skill-less

Trying to play it cool as Blue Phantom in 1-4 and run around with <30% health to shoot arrows that do 500+ in damage just to get killed right away by a crossbow bolt. Heeellooo D-Rank here I come.

Note.
If Yurt falls of the tower when you attack him (which he btw seems to to do every bloody time) you just go to the menu and LOAD the game. You'll be back right there again but all of Yurt's stuff will be lying there in a neat pile beside you most often right outside his cage.

I wanted to get the Demonbrand sword from Old King Doran,so I start range fight ....was very slow....only 15xhit lol....so after a while.....like 30 minutes....i was still waiting for his warning to stop figth so i could get his sword....well...i kept shooting him and at some point.....HE DIED !!! .....and i fu**ed up my world tendency that ofc now is toward black.....

I think with Pure Black, killing Miralda and the primeval demon is enough to get back to pure white?
