Is there any strategy to get through these guys without burning out tons of curative items/spells? I need the quickest way possible to win. They're KOing my party!

Well, what I do is (And this is with BlackRose and Mistral in your party) have BlackRose and Mistral attack the Mu Guardian(s) with their skills while I stand in the back using Gale Breath scrolls. If BlackRose gets hurt badly I either make Mistral heal her or I heal her. Usually I use Data Drain when I can, trying to leech items off the giant monsters. I think BlackRose has a Claymore and Mistral an Almighty Wand, not sure about their armor.

Mu guardians are the first creatures i really had any type of real problems with in this game. When i first started to run into them i was like what the f?#@! I found out that mu guardins are very weak towards wood spells. I cant remember the exact name but the spell wich causes trees to come up from the ground works rather well. If there grouped with other enemies try confusing or the love spell to make the other enemies turn on the guardians also. This is one of the best strategies i've found for killing off guardins rather quickly.

BlackRose and Mistral ARE the best party to use. I also find using Twin Dragons gets rid of them really quickly. The skill is on the Master Blades which is a Twin Blade Lv 10 weapon I believe?

Thanks, i've already beaten this game. I had Sanjuro and Blackrose so their poor speed and the lack of a healer was halting my success.

Yes. That's the problem with a Heavy Blade. They are very slow. But if you make sure to always have a WaveMaster in your party, you'll be fine. Unless the monster kills your other member and then goes after the WaveMaster, then you're screwed.

yea mu guardians were the first thing that i had a real problem with except those floating heads when i fought 3 at once it was annoying but i figured out how to beat them

Also, if you data drain them, they give off really good weapons like the bom-ba-ye(twin blade weapon) and the master's axe(heavy bladesman).

well i guess ill just data drain more but when i data drain to much i get all messed up and it sent me down a level and 1/2

Yeah.But you have to have good luck though

dont worry about mu guardians i beat the second game and i
beat 6 mu guardians and 7 of those monsters that cast
spells by myself but i was at level 51.
