Red Alert 2 - Everything explodes after first few 10sec-1min
|
Hi, after playing Red Alert 2 for 3 weeks it was great fun, I finished campaign etc. Right after I installed Yuri's Revenge it all started, when I play Red Alert 2 everything explodes when I play Skirmish/Campaign/MP. But when I play Yuri's Revenge everything is normal, no explosion everything works, I tried reinstalling, and I tried all the compatibilities and I tried running it as admin NOTHING works! Please help!!!!

I've got the same problem, but i didn't install Yuri's Rev. yet.
This week I had the urge to play RA2 again,
installed it, play'd it for a couple of hours,
And the next day i started playing again, and the same problem apears, reinstalled it twice and still,
10 seconds, and then BOOM mission failed.
But Tanja keeps on living, and i had a couple of rocketeers miles away from the base, and they survived to.

Found it Yeeey me,
Right click on the RA2 short cut,
And select 'Run as Administrator' or something like that.
That does it for me

Base exploding often happens because of a pirated version of Red Alert 2. Its the no-cd protection westwood developers put in place. However, Red Alert 2 is legally available from XWIS here http://xwis.net/downloads/Red_Alert-2-0.0.0.exe

I have the same prob. Surfaced on skirmish after completing both campaigns. It's strange because I have it for 10+ years and it just happened...
